PC on the down low, Grow

What's up y'all? I'm finally, FINALLY starting a grow journal after being on this sight for years and years. Just a little background, I grew a few times in high school when I was dumb and 15-16, although they were just seedlings and never went further than. I've wanted to grow for a really long time, and thought I should let myself do what I desire. So I built a PC Grow box, which was pretty fun. I think the fun part of growing your own weed, is not the cheap weed, but the process. Yeah it'll be nice not to buy from dealers anymore but to grow my own and be able to choose what I want and control and watch the process? hell yeah! So here it is. I've spent a lot of time thinking of how i'm going to do it, but honestly you figure it out as you go along. We all have these plans and yata yata yata, but it's the curveballs that really test you. Anyways there is a thread out there where a guy has his own grow cabinet, but has a pc grow because it's so fun. That's what its all about. anyways no further ado. I'm growing one Fem. Nirvana Blue Mystic Auto, and she popped last sunday morning so shes almost 7 days here. She's in some soil from Vermasoil, a bag I got for free at a hydroponics store. http://www.vermicrop.com/vermisoil

It's pretty stellar stuff. All organic soil with Coconut Coir, Earth Worm castings, Peat Moss, Vermicrop Organics Premium Compost, Bat Guano, and Mycorrhizal

The container is from Home Depot, I don't know the specs but I do know it's about if not a little more than 2 gallons. I have 2 80mm intake fans and one 120 outake fan. As of right now I have 2 23w daylight bulbs on them. Here in a week or more i'll be putting two more on and then 23 watt light for a total of 115w and 8250 lumens. I'm thinking about bring one more 120mm for the intake and putting the two 80mm fans below the plant pointing up to move the heat away. I don't know how cramped it'll get though. The case is 21.5x9.3x22 (546mm by 235mm by 560mm). I'm giving her filtered water, and just gave here some Garrett Juice and a little superthrive. I'll be giving her some organic nutes from some local brands, as well as the garrett juice which isn't a fertilizer in itself it just helps out and feeds the microbes as well as good fungus (mycorrhizal) in the soil breakdown nutrients as well as help with disease and pests. good shit! Day 7

Hey y'all. My 3rd set of true leaves are coming in with 6 blades total and it's only been a week. The only problem is, is that it's getting top heavy and when i mist my plant (which I do a few times a day) it falls over. So now i have an incense stick holding it up so hopefully it transfers some good vibes to little Annie (that's her name). Anyways i'll post up a pic either tomorrow or Tuesday. the 6 leaves are super little and well from the looks of it, it's not much of a difference. I'll be watering it tomorrow morning, which gives it two days between watering. I'm not giving it nutes just yet, but I am giving it a supplement of sorts: Garrett Juice and Superthrive, i'm thinking about giving it diluted coffee. It's high in nitrogen with trace minerals and plants love it. It's also cheap and not that "strong" or should i say concentrated of a fertilize. I thought of adding some kelp 0-0-1 nutes. but we'll see. If anyone has any suggestions hit a brother up. Danke!

Hey man, fantastic setup, nice to see another PC grower. You're completely right about the process of cannabis cultivation. The end results are nice to see (I'd be lying if I said that I don't care about the final yield), but the whole planting, training and caring for are the best. I also really enjoyed building my PC box, that was the best at the moment so far.

Anyway, loving the box, nice and clean. You have a great fan setup, your girl is going to be thankful for all that fresh air you give her + you shouldn't have any heat problems. My only suggestion would be that you get those lamps in there as soon as possible. Annie falling over could be because she is trying to hard to reach the small amount of light, which results in her stretching too far. Also be careful with misting her, she might get burnt from the lights (although cfl's shouldn't be so hot especially when you have just two at the moment).

What about some LST, doy ou have any in mind? Some tie down or Scrog will work wonders for containing Annie inside, plus you'll get bigger yields.

Apart from that everything is looking good mate, keep us updated and I'll be putting up my chair for the ride.

Thanks for dropping in dude! I definitely have LST in mind. She is growing super quick with her 3rd set of true leaves coming in and it's only been 8 days since she sprouted. I am going to move the bottom intake fan up, because right now it's just blowing air at the pot. There is a nice sturdy screen on the bottom of the PC Tower what was for intake fans, but i'm going to put my tower on top of metal dish drying rack so a) I can water my plants without making a mess and b) passive intake and cooling of the pot. I'm pretty satisfied with this PC honestly, It suits my needs and even though I'll have more flowers than what I consume, I can still use it for medicine (tinctures). As of right now I live with my Step dad and mom, I know the risk believe me. It's something i've mulled over and talked to my girlfriend about (were in a pretty serious relationship) so knowing that i should be moved out in 5 months it's gravy. plus the Blue Mystic is pretty neutral when it comes to smell, however I will be installing a DIY carbon filter anyways.

Oh and yes, I am a fan of Dr. Dre, been a fan since elementary school! cheers for having older siblings and learning about good music before all your peers!

Day 8

Wassup y'all. Today i gave her a watering, she could have done without the watering but it has been 3 days, so i thought it couldn't hurt. I know the plant's roots haven't extended and grown so much that the moist soil surrounding the peat pellet would be licked up. Anyways, i'll be picking up a temp/humidity scale, reader? whatevs. anyways here she is. It's crazy that I can check on my plant in the morning and see growth by the time I get home in the evening. I'm also growing Okra and San Pedro Cacti, so they get some attention as well. Here in a few weeks i'll be breaking down the San Pedro Cacti to trip. I'm pretty stoked about it. I've done a lot of psychs (except DMT, and Salvia) I've done mescaline before but it was a really low dosage, with very light visuals that last 6 hours. Anyways, it'll be 2 weeks on Sunday since she sprouted but I'll be introducing light nutes a few days after that. It's not a strict Organic grow because of the Superthrive, but that's it. I will be using Coffee as a source of Nitrogen as well micronutrients and I highly doubt that the Coffee is organic. HOWEVER! I work at a coffee shop and the beans we get are pretty stellar, it's not starbucks (shit coffee). Any fellow baristas out there? Man I can't wait for Cannabis to be legal so I don't have to be so cautious and secretive about this. Enjoy y'all!

Alright put the fans, a fan length higher (if that makes sense, it makes sense in my head though) and now it's blowing out in the open rather than just straight on the pot. Here are some pics of it, because I know everyone wants to see whats going on. Here it is

Hi Dank, I'm gonna pull up a chair and watch this if you don't mind. I'm a first time grower and also working on my first grow. I've got 2 outdoor plants right now and just getting my stealth indoor grow started. The indoor grow started as a result of some bad luck with my outdoor grow but it's all good. I wasn't sure when I saw peeps talking about a PC grow if they meant an actual PC or if PC was just an acronym for plastic container or something. LoL Like I said, I'm a noob to all of this. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Just to be sure I understand your intentions, are you planning to do your entire grow from seed to harvest inside the PC? Looking good so far but what do I know. haha

Hey thanks dude. I'm new too man this is my first one, but i've been reading grow journals for years and have decided to do it for myself on a small stealthy scale. Yeah man this is a PC Full Tower, 22 inches tall. I intend to finish the whole grow in this tower. The seeds are Blue Mystic Auto, from Nirvana. It's a pretty short compact plant, and I have just enough room to really tie her down if she starts shooting up. Honestly because of the situation i'm in I had to go with a PC tower for the grow. Even when I move out i'll probably still use it until I get a cab. I smoke at most a quarter in a month, but usually about about at about 5 grams, point is the yield will last me a few months so a lot of plants aren't a need. Would I love to grow different strains at the same time? absolutely! but it's just not feasible, nor necessary. But you have to be creative and ingenious with building and setting up a pc, i just really enjoyed doing it.

Day 10

Wassup y'all. The plant is looking really really good and leaves are bursting every where, between the nodes and in the leaf stem and stem (sorry, still don't know my terms). so the Third set of true leaves are five fingers, so stoked about that. Today I bought some Ph Up and Down from General Hydroponics which comes along with the testing liquid. I decided to pass on Humboldt's Macro nutrients, because I have a good beginners arsenal and honestly I wanted to opt out of nutes that are marketed just towards Cannabis plants. A lot of people go to grow shops and ask how to grow, and all they're given is nutrient supplements but not the why's and more about it. Plus a lot of workers are just for the sale. I read if you want to learn how to grow organic cannabis read outside of your Jorge Cervantez books and dvd's. I love those videos and books too, but there's more to growing than just 10 ml of this, 15 ml of that. Alright enough of my rant. I added another 23 watt cfl which brings us to a whopping 92 watts. I had 5 in there all together, but my temps rose up to 90 degrees. So I took out the 5th one just to four. Along with buying lights, the Ph Up and Down, I bought a temperature/humidity reader. The humidity is sitting at 30-50% which isn't the best but yeah. I'm thinking of adding another 120mm fan at the top to blow at the lights towards the outtake fan. We'll see after tonight. Anyways pics to come, tomorrow's water day then feed day on Sunday which i'll begin to introduce nutes!

Day 11

This morning I watered Annie with PH'd water with a few drops of Superthrive. She is just exploding with growth and it's crazy to see that it's only day 11. Growth from the top and the nodes is happening. Not too much to say just some porn pics This sunday i'll be feeding her lightly, but a part of me thinks she can handle this. Anyways it's been a long day today. Super busy at work and even though I have some school work it's not due till Saturday. it's English 1302 and one of the perks of being left brained is our ability at bullshitting. Anyways it's time to roast a bowl with Keif and and play some old GTA Vice City. Yeah i'm pretty far behind ah will enjoy the pics. Here i'll be smoking some Gumbo from Colorado and keif from: Larry's OG, Lemon Skunk, Sour Diesel, Reservera Privada OG and Gumbo. Compliments of legal bud in Co. the pipe in the picture i've had for almost 6 years. I've never come across another one and i'm willing to bet I never will. Enjoy.

It's a politically correct (PC) grow.. That means if your plant hermies that you have to give it an award for bravery and say it's absolute stunning and beautiful plant. You also have to let it use the locker room of it's choice.

Day 12

Hey y'all I bought additional things for the grow. I was having some super high temps this morning, like 92 degrees. So i opened up the front of the case and pointed my room fan at it, to do something about the temps until i can figure something out. Turns out the intake fans were turned off (i think). So after work I went to my neighborhood Wally-world and picked up a few items. you'll see in the pics. I did buy a carbon filter screen scrub which i'll but cutting up here in a little while, bought some usb fans for like 50cents. and I added the 5th light because the temps are ok, sitting at 82 degrees. i'm going to check it later before the lights turns off, to see what it's sitting at. anyways growth of course is happening, just exploding. I'm not LSTing just yet, the string is to hold her up, she's leanin' Annie is a bad bitch! Enjoy!

Thanks brother! Yeah dude, it's unbelievable how much growth happens everyday, not too mention between the time I check it in the morning and at night. She's pretty vigorous

BTW criticism is welcome, if you have any suggestions i'm open to it. my temps are sitting at about 90-92 which isn't killing it, but it's not recommended. my leaves are slightly, curling, but not much. not enough to really freak about about. the colors are fine and the plant is still trucking and growing leave sights in between nodes.

took the mylar/winshield reflector off one of the side and my temps dropped by 8 degrees. So yeah i'll be taking it all off

Day 15

Hey y'all. Yesterday morning I fed her with 16oz of Coffee, 1/3 recommend dosage of Fish Emulsion, Garret Juice, and Azomite, and a few drops of Superthrive. I have a noob question, you only need to ph the water correct? Anyways, she is just rushing to bloom, and I think i'll start LST'ing here in a few days or until she has a good enought stretch. She has been stretching length wise, but the fan leans and other nodes are stretching even more. Anyways, pics are soon to come.

Alright y'all here's all the porn y'all have been waiting for. This girl is monstrous. I've compared this plant to other grows of the same strain, and she's as much as 3-5 days ahead. Anyways, i want to LST her, but man there are just fan leaves every where as you'll see. I think i'm still going to stick with the plan of waiting a few days to train her. I will be giving her some superthrive in the ph'd water and we'll see by tomorrow morning if she's read for a good strechin'. Anyways, here is Annie and my bong at the bottom. Enjoy!
