PC GROW

I am currently still in the seedling stage, my girl is only 13 days old. Lots of people have been saying that the humidity is not that important, as long as it doesn't drop to 20-ish. But then again, if there are recommended RH% for each stage of the growth, then I might as well try to keep up.

On the other side, how is the flowering coming along?

Humidity isn't the most important but I can defiantly tell the differnece of growth during veg. But during flowering it's important because it can form mold. I might actually have to go get a dehumidifier if it doesn't start to come down. I'm only 5 days into flowering so we'll see how it is over the next couple weeks. There stretching like crazy. I swear she grew over an inch today.

WEEK1 DAY7 OF FLOWER
Doing great an stretching like crazy. Should have just enough room left on the screen to bend a few more branches under if I need to. The back side isn't stretching as much as the front side which the front side is directly under the bulbs so there getting more light. Still need to switch my bulbs from 6500k to 2700k which I'll do in the next couple days. I was hoping there would be more branches coming off her on this one since I veg'd it longer but there's not. we'll see how she starts to look once she actually has some bud forming. well heres a few pics of her as of now.

Awesome thread!!

Quick noob question- is it ok for CFL lights to be touching surfaces? I noticed your bulbs seem to be touching. Will that be an issue ?

What that there touching the top of the PC case? No it's not an issue. If they were touching the tops of the plant yea that would be an issue but I still have a couple inches before they hit the bulbs.

Yea it's not the best idea to grow it in such a small space but I've been able to keep it under control. My last PC grow was chococlope as well. This time around the stretch really caught me off guard. It's been a pain trying to keep it a couple inches below the lights. I accidentally broke a branch while doing some tucking but was able to repair it and I think it will be OK. It's still early into flower so I hope it will be ok. its a good portion of the front left side that will be gone if she doesn't.

Yea it's just some cheap Tupperware I got from Kroger. An shit if he has almost 2ft to work with get one that is about 1/4 size of the PC height. More space=more roots=bigger yield. Tell him to take the dementions of his case an find something that is about 1in shorter all around and about 5-6in tall. My PC is only 14in tall so my pot is only 3.5in tall but is 5x11in around so fits it perfectly.

WEEK3 DAY21 OF FLOWER
Idk if im'a be able to complete this grow. She just will not stop growing. I already had to cut 3 tops off because they grew into the light and burnt the hell out of them. There's a few tops on the outside that are almost above the top of the PC already. I was able to bend a few of them back down but there's some I just can't do anything with besides trying to top them an stunt the growth. i have some clones in the bubbler that are just starting to root so I might just end this one an start over. Any suggestions if there's any at all?

have you ever thought of putting dry ice in your case? Like a safe distance away from your plants so they won't freeze but boosted by the extra carbon dioxide? or is it just a waist of money?

Idk it really depends on how much co2 it puts out. If it's a decent amount then I guess it can't hurt to try.

I would suggest using the yeast and sugar method in a couple gallon jugs. Defiantly be cheaper then dry ice just replace it about once a week or so.

hey brother how big are the pots you're using? I'll be growing an autoflower, Blue Mystic to be exact, and i'm wondering how big of a pot to use. I'll be doing a pc grow as well but since room is an issue, i was wondering what pot size would work best? 1 Gallon? less?

I can tell you that I use a 1 gal pot (3l) that is longer than it is deeper. If you have a pc tower you could go with a "normal" sized pot. Since you want to keep the plant "under control" I'd say 3l is a good start.

Hey Ghost, how did things turn out? What have you decided to do?
I went ahead and killed this one. It just grew way out of control. Some of the branches were 2-3inches above the pic case. Since the screen on this one hangs out of the pc, more than half of the branches grew away from the light then shot up like a rocket. Im'a go ahead and germ some of my northern light seeds since its a indica dom strain. I have pics of the one I killed on my laptop that I'll post later to show what she looked liked.

Oh well. tis' a shame, but not the end of the world. Do you think this happened because of its genetics or maybe you flowered it too soon? I'm growing a sativa dominant plant in my PC case and I hope it will stay calm in there.

Good luck with this one. :D
