I am part of a company that makes ozone generators and wanted to see what the thoughts on using the air application (HVAC) for odor control or the water application for hydroponics are. Let me know if you have any questions as well!

Cheers,
Sam

Why create Ozone and mask a smell, rather than adsorb into carbon? Sounds like a very indirect way to solve a problem

Thanks for the info Antman15! Rrog: rather than mask a smell it helps kill mold, bacteria, and eliminates smell. You can use the ozone manufacturer in conjunction with your carbon filter system, saving the filter some work and thus not having to replace it as often without a ozone rig.

Warning: I am a novice when it comes to growing. May you explain Rrog? I thought in regards to hydroponics you did not want any mold or bacteria.

I don't do hydro any longer. I avoid anything that is comprehensively antimicrobial. Like anti-microbial soaps, a very bad invention

Ah, I understand. My thought was use a water system to cleanse the water before you put nutrients into said water then use it on the plants. Use the air system to rid the grow room of any bad odor or odor in general depending on your application. This would be for either a hydro setup or non hydro.

FWIW, you would not want antimicrobial products in a natural environment. Very much counter to what we're trying to accomplish. Same reason this would be bad to have in your living environment. Other than the hazard associated with Ozone, we need active bacteria in us, on us, and around us

Seems to be a little that always seeps out even with the carbon filter. That is why I use the o3 gen. on a timer. I don't want it running too long to totally saturate everything with o3, just enough and at the right times to knock out any lingering smells. peace

Rrog, of course yes! Another idea I had was to use the ozone generator (air) like Antman15 as a de-odorizer with the carbon filter in regards to the exhaust fan or exit port of the grow house. And yes Antman15 too much ozone is a bad thing, timers are your friend and it seems you've found the right GPH for your setup!

Great question Rrog, Ozone in our atmosphere is different than what we generate in our systems. O3 or 3 oxygen atoms are created when two oxygen atoms are either electrocuted (corona discharge) or lit up with UV lights to create Ozone. After this new molecule is created it takes about 15-30 minutes before it returns back to normal oxygen.
