Overwaterring, Nute Burn?

Hi, Newb here. Seven Plants about 4 weeks in, I made the mistake of watering them everyday, transplanted them to 5gal about 4 days ago and stopped watering 3 days ago. At that time only one had a yellow set of Cotyledons and now almost all of their Cotyledons are curling up and turning yellow, some of the leaves are beginning to show signs as well. They were under fluorescent 80w, at transplant they were switched to 400w HPS which is on for the majority of the day then switched back to fluorescent to save electricity. The soil used is a mixture of outside dirt, Miracle grow moisture control, and miracle grow potting soil. Not sure of the NPK ratio, it should be around 15 15 15 give or take a bit. I suspect they are overwatered but not sure when to rule this out, I was going to wait a few more days for the soil to dry and then use peters 20-20-20 nutrient solution. Any tips or suggestions?

any pictures?

cotyledons dying is normal.. what signs are the other leaves showing?

i suspect people will give you shit for using the miracle grow soil, and outside soil is a big no no for indoor grows, it just invites pests and other outside nuisances

Well the other leaves are looking a bit dry turning light green, slight curling, its my first time growing. Im going to add a little of the peters to it and a friend told me to get some compost so im shredding banana peels and cantaloupe rinds and gonna place them on top of the soil. The outside sand/dirt was checked and i also spray them every 2-3 days with a garlic/crushed red pepper/soap solution to keep bugs off. Also, when will I be able to detect the sex? I see little things at the intersection of the stems but I cant distinguish, they all look like short skinny leaves, theres no way all seven are female.
