Over head supplemental and side lighting questions?

Has anyone on here tried the led strip(like the gavita LEDs, or fluence type strips) lighting offered on places like alibaba. I was thinking of getting a few fixtures to try for overhead lighting in between my de hps fixtures which I have covering a rather large 5x6 foot print.

I also wanted to know about using some the of the smaller strip fixtures for side lighting?
