Outdoor watering schedule

I'm looking for some general guidelines on how much water per week I should be giving my outdoor plant. I tried searching for watering charts, but I found nothing. I know that certain factors need to be taken into account, such as temperature, soil type etc. Say for an average daily temperature of 85 degrees, about how much mL of water per week should my plant get?

It depends on plant size, medium, potted or in the ground, etc.

I just watch my plant. When it starts to droop, I water it. My plant is in a 3 gallon pot, outside. I end up watering about every 3rd day. I use a bit over 1 gallon each time. Best of luck.

Like you said there are many determining factors... I can tell you how I am watering mine. The ones in the ground get watered about every 4-5 days with 5 gallons. The ones in pots get watered every 2-3 days with 5 gallons. Average temp here is about 80 degrees.

I think its impossible to have any sort of chart or guidelines when growing outdoors. You just need to watch them to know when they need water.

Hope that helps.

Truth.

I could range from every other day to once a month or even less ( I haven't had to water since early May due to daily thunderstorms here)... That could change very quickly though, for example I lost a lot of young plants at the beginning of April due to drought + heat because I couldn't keep up with watering them... all just depends on the whims of nature.

As a rule of thumb I just watch the smaller (non-marijuana) plants growing in my yard - when I see that they need water, I make a trek to water my grows (which are bigger and more capable of going without rain). Gives me a little safety buffer.

Hello Hiphop-
Conditions dictate watering schedule. I'm in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Ca. Very hot/dry summer this year....96.5 degrees as i type in my garden. My plants are anywhere from 3ft to 7ft tall, all about 2.5-3mos old. I have a schedule for watering/feeding my garden, 8 day weeks....

Day 1) feed half strenght BMO's Super plant tonic, 2 gallons per plant. Flush last 2-3 weeks with water/molasses.
Day 2) nothing
Day 3) Water with 1 tblspoon molasses per gallon, 1-2 gallons per plant
Day 4) nothing
Day 5) Feed BMO's flower power full strengh weeks 2, 6 & 7 if needed, double strength weeks 3,4,&5 and half strenght the 1st week, 1-2 gallons per plant. Flush last 2-3 weeks with water/molasses.
Day 6) nothing
Day 7) Just water
Day 8) nothing
Day 9) Re-start cycle again with the super plant tonic.......Weeks 1,3,4,5, half strength, only weeks 2 & 6 full strength. No need to add SPT after week 6, there will be enough in the soil to finnish the job.

Quick notes: Check your waters/soils Ph...very important. Try to keep it about 6.2Ph to 6.5Ph on the meter. If not your plants wont feed right, resulting in a smaller buds. And we dont want that.

Good Luck, hope this helps
