outdoor mmj grow in Reno area

So I have 2 pre98 bubba clones and 2 white rino x girl scout. This is my first grow in Nevada. My back patio gets sun all day about 11 hours of direct light. When will they start budding ? I think they should start about the middle of next month. Thers so little info about growing outdoor mmj in northern nevada. I put them out in the 1st week of june. Got to watch the cold it can frost till the 16th or so.

Hey from down south! I'm in the desert out east of CC. I've never grown outside so I can't help you much there but I've lived here for over 20 years and know the weather. I bet it was scary having them out in the heat the last few days. Do you have a light filter or do you let them get direct sun? I'd think they burn up in the heat?

Anyway to get them to flower can you cover them after 12 hours of light? I'm guessing they won't flower until September (or later) without 12 hours of "forced" darkness but I don't grow out side so... but just thought I'd say "high" to a neighbor!

BTW I don't think we'll see frost until at least mid to late Nov. but out here you never know. The spring is when the frosts keep coming until late May or even June.

You're a lucky mofo if you got a cut of the pre98 bubba i picked up for smoke last trip to cali. Holy shit that stuff was good. i could smoke it all day and never get tired. I gotta go back for seconds of that stuff soon.
imo, if they're getting less than 13 hours light they'll bud,.. but I've never grown outside either. residual light might keep them thinking its summer.

I asked in the outdoor forums they said middle of august for the budding to start.

The heat was ok and no light filter. The only problem I have had is calicum def. Im useing the general organics line for veg. and the cal mag is week. When they start budding Im useing Earth Juice bloom, E.J. verde fire bloom and im trying bub candy.

Started budding on the 30th of july.

Just checking in. Im 10 days into budding and my bubbas are doing well. My other one is starting slow but all 3 are happy and looking good. 2 of them are 3 and 1/2 feet by 3 feet wide and the smaller one is 2 1/2 tall and 2 wide. Ill post pics soonish.

Day 30 of bloom update. Things Ive learned so far, its hot and sunny every day, so bigger pots. I have to water the 5 gal two times a day. 10 gal works good for the size plants I have.

a few new pics will post more. 8 weeks 56 days into bloom.

So I took this bubba kush at 10 weeks. Befor and after pics. First harvest is looking good.

Got 250 grams of nice sized nugs off this.

Got 150 grams off this one but theres a lot of small stuff. Not a big deal, Im giving lady with MS free meds.

So a good first grow, got aprox. 650 grams off 3 plants. Notes: short season, june to nov with chances of frost in both months. I took my plants inside at night all of november. So keep them small to move inside or make a green house. It never rains my 7 and 10 gallon pots were good but my 5 gallon pot had to be wattered 2 times a day in august. Indoor supper TGA soil grow next. Got 2 1k watt lumatec ballasts(they are ajustable 400w, 600w and 1000 watt), c02 tank and regulater, 2 hydrofarm hoods, 6 bags of TGA super soil and 3 bag of TGA base soil, and pots/other stuff. I got the soil in fresno CA at full scale soil and hydro.

Good job and nice plants/harvest! I'll keep in mind the flowering date up here in N. NV as I've not grown outside. I hope I get the chance someday.
