I would wait til may or june next year in my area. The seeds might just rotn the ground by waiting til spring you would be guarenteed results.

i forgot to mention i was gonna wait till then, i got alot of time to collect them, would i have to bury them or would just throwing them work ?

the odds are slim that throwing them will work. animals could eat them or they may not get enough mosture to sprout, it would be best if you just started a bunch in cups then planted them. however out of 150 seeds one is bound to survive.

Agreed... The chance that any would survive would be close to none. However if you wanted to do it I would start in April/May, once the chance of frost is gone, and plant the seeds about 1/2 inch in the soil. If you can give them a good watering, but make sure not to float the seeds out of the soil. Then you cross your fingers and return in a few months to see if any have survived.

The last poster makes a good point. Your odds would greatly improve if you started them in cups or whatever and waited until they were seedlings before planting them in the great outdoors. The first stage of growth is the most difficult and requires a bit of attention.

Good luck!

Thats how a friend does it. He puts a few seeds in dozens of spots and then comes back later to cut males. Not the best method of growing but it does work. It's more of a numbers game since most of his grows get eaten by deer.

yeah i have 2 going outside i planted about a month ago and the deer topped them for me, the only problem i got is deer, i might just do like 10 plants and put that plastic mesh fence around it and let it go on its own
