Outdoor Auto's on the East Coast

I honestly havn't had any problems with animals and autos. The only pests I've had to deal with are slugs and snails and they seem to enjoy photos and autos equally from what I've seen.
The next two oldest ones that I transplanted last week both showed pistils earlier this week which would of been around day 28. They are a Kush n Cheese and a Blue Amnesia xxl. I am waiting on a 25 day old Kush n Cheese that was sprouted in her final 4.2g root pouch.
I will get some pics up this weekend, they are having another decent week. Surprizing how fast they grow once they decide to take off. I've barely gotten a chance to feed them lol.

Here's an update on my northern lights. They've grown considerably in less than week. This would be just about 2 weeks since planting maybe a few days more... There are 3 they are all 3 the same size still

Lookin good Jren. For age i start counting when they break soil. Mine seemed to be one node more than the number of weeks old. So at 2 weeks they are on their 3rd node. That seems to be where u are at too. It seems inside they start out faster from the pics I've seen. The outside plants catch up and pass indoors plants between weeks 3 - 5 give or take.
One thing that can be tricky when starting out in large pots is watering. If u completely soak a 5g pot with 2 wk old plant it will take forever to dry out and need watering. This makes it difficult to start a feeding schedule.

Yeah I've been watering in tiny increments so far, probably start "real" watering in the next day or two... I was worried for a bit cause I saw some indoor pics that were huge after 1 week! But I'm guessing like you said they'll catch up and probably run a little longer maybe?

I am gonna take back what I said about outdoor passing indoor. I've seen some pretty big indoor auto's on here. Outdoors they do take off at the 3 week mark or so.

I'm kind of cheating for the moment, I normally grow in an indoor tent but even with ac it's too hot for the lights during the day so for the last few days I've been outside from sun up till dark then inside the tent overnight... It seems to be working really well. I don't know if I'll be able to keep it up for the whole grow but we'll see

Oh that's not cheating, use it if you have it right!

Alright update time, the ladies had another decent week. The last transplants are looking good I stopped the lst and decided to just let them grow. So far the 7g pots seem to be outperforming the 4.2g.

It's been a bad year for my buddy 4 plants popped 2 weeks before memorial day..last weekend they looked exactly the same as 3 weeks ago..cotyledons and one set of leaves..that's it..they just stalled out, still green and alive though. This is the 3rd year he's had issues..he refuses to listen to me or take soil from my compost..thinking bagged soil is his savior, he refuses to add perlite thinking that they wouldn't sell a product made for growing that needs anything added, and instead of even trying to fix the issue..he's " letting them do their thing, it's a weed"...oh well his loss.

Yeah it's a weed that is being cultivated in its non native environment... I've spent too much time in Afghanistan for my liking and yeah you see it wild or being lightly raised by locals but this ain't the Hindu Kush....

I'm sure the conditions you were in weren't great..but it musta been kind cool toking on some Afgani grown Kush in Afganistan. Sample any killer hash over there? Really wish that part of the world wasn't so F'ed right now..I'd like to see where alot of our current strains originated.

No man I was special forces and we got tested a lot and I mean a lot! Had a homie get 5 years in Levenworth and a dishonorable discharge for failing a piss test. So I unfortunately have only had Afghani bud here in the states... But I would go back in a second if it wasn't so dangerous to travel over there. Its really a beautiful country when you get out into the mountains.

My autos are all in Pro-mix Herb and Vegetable with extra perilite added. I just fertilize with Plant Prod all purpose. Did your buddy just use topsoil?

lol..no it was literally a random pic i had saved at some point when i was trying to convince my buddy that auto's were viable...just trying to get things back on track.:blsmoke:Biggest outdoor i've done was a russian rocket fuel I got around 2-2.5Z's from..was probably half the size of that one. I stopped growing outside..i don't have the property for it..only about 6hours of direct sun a day, unless I want to move plants every couple hours..which i don't.

Hello burner 89, I was just popping in to see how things of been going with your autos they're looking pretty good my think you're still doing better than me. Here's a pic of my northern lights.
image.jpg I've had a hell of a time fighting bugs on these things seems like everything flying are crawling wants to eat them. LOL
I just started some OG Kush autos to take the northern's place when they are done. All five of the OG Kush auto seeds that I got from Nirvana sprouted on the 19th here's a little pick of them.

Hey Cuttdog, have u tried any insectisides yet. I picked up some pyrerthin the other day. One of mine is looking a bit rough. For whatever reason mine look pretty lanky. They get 8-9 hrs of direct sun and some good indirect light too.
How many nodes do they have, its hard to tell from the straight down pic.

Yes I have been spraying with Bon-Neem, it works very fast but not fast enough they usually eat up a leaf before I can get them pesky critters. LOL.
image.jpg I'm going to be using this compost tea today just to give the plants a little extra love.
image.jpg Here's the side photo you wanted. Five nodes just sprouting the sixth. These are at six weeks I think they should be just a little bit bigger.

Cuttdog do have pistils showing yet? The plant looks healthy, but something seems to be holding them back. What kinda temps do u have?
The one i started in its final pot is taking the longest to show pistils, go figure eh. I am not buying into the no transplanting autos rule.
