My brother did well with Expert Seeds blueberry auto outside in mid Maine last year. Turned into a bush on its own and was tasty/frosty. He had trouble with others using his very basic schedule of ff soil mixed with promix in root pouches outdoors including Flash Seeds Kush Van Stitch, but not this one strain. He had a G13 labs auto that did well but the strain was a one off or something. I looked for it and couldn't find it.
This year, his Flash Seeds Onyx (auto) did the best. I have seen Onyx Reloaded for sale - could be a version two but I haven't read up on it. He tried Dutch passion Think Different outside and it was not a good yield, nor was it very happy with the conditions.
His environment is a cold, somewhat damp one with pine forests surrounding a small field. Cool nights and hot humid mid summer days. It was wet last year there (2014 summer). The blueberry auto liked it.

THX.1138 (Good Movie by the way) hinted on the main question. What kind of climate are you looking at. I did some Auto Ultimate in our hot 40% to 50% humidity and they did well. Most strains do best in a mid 80's environment, nights not too cold. The breeders descriptions are based on ideal indoor conditions. If your climate has 3 months of nice moderate weather, not too hot and not too cold and mid range humidity with an occasional rain then you will do well. Extreme heat, wet/humidity or cold and most will suffer in yield accordingly.

My Hso autos are doing well this time of the year. I doubt they'll really get very big/yieldy, cheese xxl might. Grasshopper got to my blue dream and removed some leaves while it was young, now it's dwarfed. Monocropped
