couple pictures of the ladies.. They both have the same amount of leaves/nodes, but the White Widow is bigger than the Purple Haze.. probably because i took a little longer to transplant the Purple Haze.. Still haven't germinated my FEM Blackberry seed.. will get around to that tomorrow:leaf::leaf:

Couple pictures of the ladies.. They will be a month old in 3 days.. I started tying them down with dental floss.. going to try and make it around the pots once and then top them.. Have a blackberry seed germinating which taking a little longer than expected.. hope it pulls threw.. The ladies are healthy and seem to be growing at a pretty normal rate.. Very tight node space! Going to grab some nutrients sometime next week .:leaf:

They're looking nice Lee!!
LSTing is always nice! Do you think dental floss can harm them?
I used to use string but I accidentally tore one of her leaves at the node, cos' I went 2 hard on her.
Now I use striped ethernet's cables!! Really great for LSTing!

Cheers!:leaf:

stripped ethernet cables... your a FUCKING GENIUS lol.. i was concerned about the dental floss myself.. was going to pick up some pipe cleaners but i don't want little fuzzies sticking to my buds.. i might have to splice some wires and try that out man, great idea!!

alright RIU.. the ladies are 1 month and 1 day old.. growth is starting to really pick up.. added a couple more cfls i think that made the girls happy.. really tight nodes on both the White Widow and Purple Haze.. tied both of them down a couple times, and put a piece of string across the top of the pots to hold the leaves down ( more light penetration).. White Widow is on the left Purple Haze on the right:leaf:

the ladies are 1 month and 6 days old.. got rid of the old cabinet and started working on my new grow box. top shelf is gonna be for veg , bottom is going to be a flowering chamber.. still have a lot of work to do, but i have the flooring down and it is light proofed up front.. the ladies are very healthy! i accidentally ripped a couple of the white widow's fan leaves so i trimmed them.. loving the results I'm getting from LST.. lower branches are shooting up..

WHEN IS A GOOD TIME TO TAKE CLONES?? And is it okay to take from bottom of the plant? I am concerned because the bottom branches aren't very big.. leaves are small.. suggestions?:leaf:

For me, I take clones off the bottom, usually because I end uo clearing larf anyway. Sometimes when I know Im going to clone a specific lady, I do an LST to give the branch I want to clone, a little room to grow for a few days before I chop it.

If it has a set of leaves and a node, it will clone 1" tall - 10" tall....just a little more tricky when they are little.....

Hey Lee,

as far as the LED bulbs, I am into my 2nd run....thanks for the compliments by the way, really appreciate it. In my mini-fridge I am into my 3rd run, still trying to get it dialed in and such, but I am almost yielding the same as when I had 140 watts of cfl in the fridge, before I switched to LED's. I have 65 watts in my fridge, 101 in my "bigger" cabinet, lol.

Check out these two threads for some info on the Cree's at least. The last link is for the Phillips bulbs I use too.

https://www.rollitup.org/led-other-lighting/676858-tags-high-efficiency-lighting-garden-45.html
[Check out pages 45 and 46 specifically!!!!!!!. Tags puts them into reflectors comparing CFL's with an APOGEE PAR meter.

Basically, straight down @ 12", the leds had more than double the usable light intensity @ about 1/3 of the wattage. Sideways mounted [like I have mine] @ 3-4"'s is 6x the cfl.

Here is a link of a review for the phillips bulbs, Cree is in here too!

IMG_0076.jpgIMG_0080.jpgIMG_0079.jpgIMG_0073.jpgIMG_0074.jpgthe ladies are looking really healthy.. been tying down like crazy all of the lower branches shoot right up its amazing.. So a lot of the guys on here are stoked on these "Cree" LED bulbs (The new CFL LED bulbs ) and i couldn't help but wonder why.. So i went ahead and did a little research myself.. grabbed a couple of them and did a little modifying and let me tell you, now i get what all the rave is about.. THESE THINGS ARE BRIGHT!!! i took the cap off of the bulb, and what a difference.. was gonna go with LED or HPS for flowering but I'm starting to rethink my options..:weed:

the ladies are doing just fine.. a couple of the fan leaves have red specs on them.. might be a mag/cal deficiency but i have no idea i haven't looked into it yet.. all of the clones i took on the 4th are showing roots!-im going to transplant them into dixie cups when the roots get a little stronger.. I also have 6 more cuttings that i took last week.. hooked up a new light fixture and added a 12watt 2700k LED around 24watt equivalent.. plants seem to love it! The ladies will be 2 months old in 2 days ( March 18th) .. Not sure when i want to throw them into flower.. i got a lot more room in my cabinet.. i could tie these things down forever lol.. suggestions??? comments?? :joint::joint:

So I think the White Widow plant has a phosphorus deficiency.. added a little extra notes to water and new growth seems to be fine.. overall both plants are really starting to flourish.. I have a total of 10 cones..4 are rooted in dixie cups, and I have 6 more cuttings showing roots in root riot plugs..plants are 2 months and a week old from seed.. Plan on throwing them into flower within the next couple of weeks. kind of just going with the flow as far as planning goes.. I am thinking of taking a few more clones because my plants are just so damn bushy.. there are a few tops not getting much light anyways.. sorry about the sideways pictures i know its annoying

Alright boys so the ladies are almost 1 month into flowering.. Getting close to the halfway mark .. They are both looking magnificent.. Both starting to pack on tori homes but the white widow is in the lead for sure, super frosty!! Some fan leaves have red spots on them .. Think it's a Ma-Ca deficiency but I'm not too worried about it .. Gonna stop by the hydro shop Friday and grab some cal mag nutes.. My clones are getting big! "Veg" chamber is too small and decided I'm going to use it as a clone chamber only .. Got a huge ikea cabinet that I plan on building into a flower room .. And the chamber I have my flowering plants in now will be for vegetation.. Comments, questions?
