New to web interface and the Rollitup site, but not new to cultivating marijuana indoors. Predominately I have been a soil grower, but have recently switched back over to hydroponics for ease and automation of my techniques due to the size of my operations in general. I could be mistaken on how to access or post a journal entry of if this is even the right area for my post, but I wanted to just go ahead and give it a shot while I have some down time currently. However, I will be creating a professionally edited video of the entire grow-op w/ available commentary towards the end of this process with links to YouTube and other social media webpages.

So, Let's begin by delving right into the set-up itself and then we can go from there.

(2) / 32-site Current Culture UCBD "under current double barrel" recirculating DWC systems using (4) - 5.75'' net pots in each 8 gallon module.

System #1: 128 cuts of Reserva Privada's Sour Kush a.k.a. "Headband" using STG (sure to grow) Tempest (4.75''x4.5'') cylindrical inserts.

System #2: 128 cuts of a clone only Platinum OG Bubba Kush using Growstone non-wicking media. (similar to Hydroton expanded clay pellets)

Using a very simple line of nutrients from Dutch Master: A/B, Add .27, Zone, and Silica.

Initial environment: Vegetation transplant Day#3

CO2: 1000 PPM Air Temp.: 80F Day/ 68F Night Humidity: 50% Day/65% night

Water temp.: 68F PPM(700): 250 pH: 6.0

I'll be posting pictures along with detailed grow log updates throughout the entire 8-week grow. Look forward to hearing users input, responses, and any questions.

1. Example of what I would consider one of if not the best continuous pH/Temp./TDS monitors in the business.

2. In this picture you see both 55-gallone top off reservoirs which are gravity feed through tubing the the float valve in the epicenter of my systems. Also, the R/O evolution with pre-filters.

3. Here I'm displaying the first several clones I transplanted into the system which with only a day or two longer than the rest of the clones have begun to grow expanding root systems rapidly. The HPS light makes some colors difficult to see but there is definitely nitrogen returning into the leaf structures creating the look of a much healthier plant.

4. You are able to see how I have set each of my 4-light banks into three separate rows leading to a (16) light 220v controller. Just below sits my CO2 monitor which is set to run an eight burner natural gas CO2 burner using existing gas lines for the house. Three columns of PVC ducting provide cool air into a straight line to help facilitate heat removal from the 1000 watt lamps.

5. In the last photo is an example of a new system I have begun to build for a 4-light setup. Same principles as the other system minus amount of modules and of course lighting to go along with them.

That is one hell of a setup! Nice and clean. I just finished building a small UC setup, but damn, that is one helluva SOG.
Curious about your thoughts on the biowave? Have you used it before? Results with/without?

Let me be perfectly honest, I couldn't be more skeptical of an item that has been in the industry for several years now that has just now decided to push an indoor "mini" unit to gorilla growers you and me alike. Let's take a second to add up all the additives or environment adjustments whom promise an additional 20%.... CO2 (does help), Bloom boost/shooting powder/ (does help), PGR (does help for those who use it right), etc... If you were to add all these and more up and then throw in the 20% yield increase promised by the Biowave we would be pushing 3-4 grams/watt. Not happing simply put. With that being said, I still have always been a curious grower looking for an edge in time management, production and plant quality even though there is no replacement for attention to detail and personal mistake making experience to help build ones knowledge and cultivating ability. Buying large amounts of commercial size cultivating equipment has helped to do one thing besides reduce the size of my wallet. Local grow store owners love my business I bring when purchasing several commercial size operations at once, but also appreciate my knowledge and expertise to a certain degree. Thus, often times I am given new items such as the biowave, or in another example a foliar spray that has yet to hit the market to be used in the last week of flower to help increase essential oil production in plants that have used a PGR earlier during the flower cycle. The expectation being that I am able to give solid and reliable feedback on its effect due to that fact that I run my grow-ops with a large amount of precision and lack of variables that would allow me to clearly see weather changing a single variable such as the biowave would actually make an overall difference in the growers yield or quality. So, to bring this long winded response to a close, for which I apologize, using the biowave technology throughout the veg and flower cycle in my current grow-op should be able to give me the definitive answer on weather or not the unit is worth the I believe $700-$800 dollar investment it requires for purchase. However, as any good scientist/cultivator knows it takes more than one trial no matter how stable the environment to be able to make a solid claim on ones data or findings. All things aside, there is no replacement for the most important factors of a grow-op - Lighting, temp., humidity, ventilation and air circulation, clean water, and quality nutrients. Run the factors to the extreme degree of perfection for every hour of every day of every week of you grow and the quality of your fruits and yield should always be satisfactory.

forgive me for being a dumbass,but why veg under HPS..ive always vegged under MH..is their a difference..ive always loved my results.

and yea ive seen some grows grown under a HPS from start to finish,but wasn't pleased with their results..so enlighten me!

Sorry about the delay and lack of recent updates. My time has been completely occupied with developing new build-outs and rooms using double ended bulb technoology. Yep, entering the seventh day of Bloom in the above two photos; taken behind the M7 Sunglasses I picked up recently out of curiosity - kinda cool - but a little pricey at around $140.00 USD. As we can see from the photos the plants were allowed to veg a bit too long, but never-the-less they are simply amazing. Robust stalks and branching, healthy pistils and bud formations, and fantastic color. Root growth is overwhelming the "wow" factor when taking in this DWC under current grow operation. Water temps have been maintained using (2) 1- HP commercial grade water chillers at 67 degrees. PPM(700) at 1000ppm, and a constant 5.9pH. Day temps: 78-80 degrees, Night temps: 68-69 degrees. CO2 levels at 1400ppm, and humidity at 45%. Anyways, I'll be sure to try and check in more often if I happen to have any followers still. Good luck and good harvest to all!
