it says on the label it is 100% organic and safe - it says it may stain concrete too. test it on one plant like the bottle suggests, p.s. it smells like fish fertilizer.

yeaaa id think im gonna use it yet the plants dont seem to have any enemys after observing them for a while. Just got the greenhouse so if their is an attack im going to get some lady bugs and leave them in that tent and kill those fuckers...

I used organocide on my girls for spider mites and it worked awesome. They got a little droopy the first day but perked right up after that :)

The product is safe and effective. You could start by mixing 1/2 the recommended application rate, which would be 1 oz per gallon (30 ml) if you're using it preemptively. This stuff mixes much better in water that is at least room temp or warmer, also helps to add a wetting agent such as a drop of a good castile (or dish/detergent) soap. I would recommend Dr. Bronner's Castile soap, the peppermint variety. These soaps are widely available and derived from organic ingredients (including hemp oil and peppermint oil). The essential oils in the soap are also known to be offensive to various pests.

I used this product on one of my plants, works kinda but the bugs come back. they become immune to it i guess?
and ive noticed everytime i used it the foliage curls up almost as if it stops the plant from breathing
all in all just go for the good stuff
100% neem oil available at your local grow shop
or a good alternative is Diatomaceous Earth(Silicon Dioxide) with Pyrethrins in powder form
i use Diatect V
good for spreading atop soil, or foliar spray application and doesnt harm the plants if used properly. also 100% organic
Hope this helps,

Hey CC. +rep I wondered if anyone else had used diatomaceous earth before. I picked some up for a flea issue a few years back and have a bunch left over. CC do you just dust the entire plant and soill?

Nullis, I always forget about the wetting agent. Thanks! +rep

I have used Organocide. Seemed to work well. I even mixed organocide and neem oil in a spray bottle. This mixture seemed to work but it sure was sticky. My advice would be to watch out where the over spray goes and clean it up before it dries. Sticky Icky Mess after it sits.

Anyone have any thoughts about the organo/neem mixture? Pros/cons?

Neem + Organocide is a fine admixture. It's good for more severe infestations and spider mites, otherwise you could use them in conjunction with each other at 1/2-3/4 the recommended application rate. A wetting agent and warmer water becomes particularly helpful since both neem and Organocide are thick/oily.

These kinds of controls are the best because they are comprised of multiple organic oils/agents, which makes it less likely that the pest insects will develop any resistance to them. Neem especially as it contains several different compounds called tetranortriterpenoids, namely azadirachtin, which mimic insect hormones (ecdysones).

It should also be noted that there are different grades of neem oil. Aside from the regular raw 100% neem oil there is "clarified hydrophobic extract" of neem oil, which lacks azadirachtin and is more effective as a fungicide.

WOW! thanks for the info!

Keep in mind the Idea of rotation. Spraying with one product, then spraying with another later. I believe this to be a better method than relying on one product, or to mixing them together. Also, does clarified extract of neem really lack azadirachtin? I know that Azamax, a clarified extract, has 1.2% azadiractin i believe. Anyone else have input on this?

GBz that makes complete sense. thanks! Rotation def seems like a better idea than mixing. +rep

I dusted the soil level and lightly on the leaves w/ DE (in my veg room) after watering yesterday; Today, NO KNATS! I'll keep you posted w/ any pos. or neg. reactions. I'm going to do a real good clean of the veg room tonight aswell.

I don't think that I would ever use DE while flowering. I wouldnt want to inhale/smoke that stuff.

I have had great success with Gnatrol DWG (Bacillus Thuringensis Israelensis also in mosquito dunks) and yellow sticky traps for fungus gnats. Also maintaining a dry environment is key (no standing water, letting the soil dry out between waterings)

will this bacteria in the mosquito dunks in anyway hurt or compete with my beneficial bacteria and fungi in my soil?
