Hi Guys and Girls! I have decided to go organic this year for my outdoor grow and decided I will try the following 2 recipes. I'd like peoples opinions as I'm no expert in these matters. Does anybody think it is missing anything or has anything it shouldn't. I would like to know also if I would be better off using composted chicken manure instead of cow?

ORGANIC POTTING MIX RECIPE
________________________

3 parts of equal mixture in any desired quantity, of the following:

Sphagnum Peat Moss
Vermiculite or Perlite
Composted Cow Manure

Add 1 cup of the organic fertilizer to every cubic foot of potting mix and mix well. Try to use composted cow manure that is as dry as possible. Makes it easier to mix.

ORGANIC FERTILIZER RECIPE:
_______________________

4 quarts or 16 cups of Cotton Seed Meal or Soyabean Meal.
1 quart or 4 cups of Bone Meal.
1 quart or 4 cups of Green Sand
1/2 quart or 2 cups of Gypsum
1/2 quart or 2 cups of Dolomite Lime

Aswell I will be watering with liquid organic fertilizer every 10 to 14 days until harvest. :peace:

I don't understand what you mean by that.

Have you ever heard of Compost Tea?
Hey sorry if I've confused you and others. What I mean by the term part is that it could be any weight you desire. A kg a ton a 1/2 kg or a bucket full. As long as you use an equal amount of the 3 ingredients. So for example if you used 1 kg of the Sphagnum Peat Moss you would then add 1kg of either Perlite or Vermiculite depending on preferance and then you would add 1kg of the composted Cow Manure.

As for Manure Tea,yes I know how good this stuff is and I would love to make some but living in the suburbs, I prefer to leave my back yard smelling like a garden and not a chicken farm. It attracts less attention. You need a big area to pull that off. Or somewhere with fantastic ventilation. Secondly trying to find a burlap sack these days is getting difficult. Most things that used to come in them like packaged Potatoes now come in plastic. Also I think you need Chickweed or Stinging Nettle aswell to make the tea, as they help break the manure down and they are full of trace elements. These 2 ingredients are impossible to get in my home town.
Anyway thanks for suggesting the tea and I hope I have helped you understand the term "part" that I used. Sorry for the confusion. :peace:
