Californy is the place you oughta be - so they loaded up the truck and they moved to the OC. Orange County that is, swimmin pools, clones on carts.

Not a terrible idea but isn't it crazy expensive to live there?

California is the best state that I have every lived in, but yes its expensive as hell to move here. I built a house on 5 acres back in 2000 for just under 200k and last year we had an appraisal and it came in at over 700k. Up here in the northern part of Cali you can still pick up a decent home on a little land for under 300 but south is way higher. In the bay area the median home price is 900k and OC is up there too my niece is going to college and her rent in LA is over 2500 a month. I can't figure out how people can afford that kind of money for rent. I often think of moving to a more affordable state but haven't got serious yet. Everything is higher in Cali! I wouldn't move to Washington in rains non-stop there and Oregon. If you look at Seattle's rain total you would be shocked, and it's not the Florida warm rain it's miserable and depressing. Pretty quick when more states legalize places like Colorado and Washington will take a back seat where they belong with there over taxed over priced weed. Right now there booming but you'll see there future will be grim. I have yet to see a quality product at a decent price come out of either state but they sure get a lot of hype. That's just my opinion though...
