Oregon Green Free...what is wrong with this group?

They do seem dead. I also noticed their site was down. I only go there for robot news feeds about legalization. Shame. When John ran it there was at least a grassroots political discussion. At least there was resistance to takeover of the future industry. The body politic of pot is so fractured now in Oregon that anyone with $ can act like an authority and get away with it. The death of OGF was a step towards killing off small growers to pave the way for big agribusiness. The only real resistance to the corporate agenda of pot "legalization" originated there, before the takeover.

Given how quick things are shakin in CO and WA, lol, maybe legalization isn't all its cracked up to be. I've found most of the compassion places are shady, OGF isn't the only one, if they claim compassion, watch the back door, you'll get an idea of what's goin on. And the Mr Stanford connection doesn't help either, he's seems to bring negative connotations with him, given the past legal troubles. Credibility problem perception to most people. Dang, looks like Portland is catching up to the rest of the state, they've had it pretty easy for awhile, all things considered. When the Ptown boys start griping, must be something in the air:lol:

I tried to join the forum. I sent them my ODL and OMMP card (copies) and $5. I like the idea very much and Being an 501C-3 is not an easy thing to setup. Well after weeks I still am not approved to view any of their forums and have not got ONE email from admin for all the inquiries. Also I found out that the 501C-3 was revoked due to not filing form 990 (or something) for three years in a row.

I haven't had any negative dealings with anyone there at all. Really, just two PMs that seemed normal. It's just once they got my $5, I stopped existing for them - strange.

It may have started to be a legit org, but they just stole my $5 and couldn't care less about me. I should have researched the site first. I would think they're breaking laws by advertising that they're a 501C-3, when clearly they are not. STAY AWAY from Oregon Green Free!!

I wish it wasn't so. I really wanted a real medical MJ site.

They finally notified their membership 3 hours after I posted this message with some BS about not knowing they had lost their status. Probably just a coincidence :)

Is this true?

How come Madfingers is still at the site?

If this is the case, I hope they do file their 2010's and someone gets arrested.

That's the lowest of the low...

Looks like NGF is following in the same footsteps. It just seems as if in Oregon, compassion group means essentially take advantage group. They make all their money in Portland, so the rest of the state can go to hell, and then they still aren't above board. Patients get the shit, the growers get the crème if they don't export it, and somehow its always the patient that suffers, from these so called compassion sites. But hey, if you can supply them with your extra, under the table, nod nod wink wink, its all good, or you suck the higher ups asses. NGF business model was followed after OGF and many of the same players are in the diff name game. Know it!@

As a former President of Oregon Green Free East I was removed and subsequently banned for life by Madfingers (now resigned as CEO) for asking about financial improprieties he was involved in. I now see that the OGF website has been down for several days. Have they finally disbanded to avoid prosecution?
I was contacted by an OGF member and asked to help this individual because they weren't able to get clones and were willing to drive across the state for them. They were instructed to sign up on Roll It Up and contact me through this site to make arrangements with me to get them. They refused to follow this simple request and tried to make arrangements through my daughter who would not respond to their calls which made them apparently very angry. This is what you get when you attempt to help some people. Notice how in addition to the lies and bashing they manage to convey that they were doing ME a favor by taking the clones.

Funny......RIU is not a pay site and Oregon Green Free is no longer a non-profit and is under DOJ investigation for financial improprieties. Thanks for letting me rant RIU and F*@k you OGF.

Did you happen to notice that they claim I had been watching them on this site waiting for them to pay for access? WTF these guys are f*^cking nuts!!!!!

hang in there bro. I too learned the hard way with any and all compassion sites out here. OGF, NGF, Granny's site, Pay it Forward isn't that bad in theory and with a few, but they let the players aka sellers from the other sites join like it was nothing and act like they don't have a clue who these people are, etc?! As far as Im concerned, OGF and NGF all get whats coming to them, they set up shop as a compassion site and they were doing what the rest were doing, handing out horrible schwag to patients in the name of compassion, in the meantime, when you would donate top shelf or good material aka buds for hash, etc, that lil bit got put up somewhere else and the hash they handed out in their classes was the made with the roughage, not the good shit some donated. It was a Portland clique thing, as in all those groups. They make their bank out the backdoor, and cry compassion in the front door. Im also glad for the improprieties being checked out. Prolly involved with Paul Stanford AGAIN! Portland needs a lil taste of what some parts of the rest of the state is encountering, and it might humble em a bit.
