Thought I'd finally do a full journal from start to finish, as I usually just post pics of the girls pre-harvest.. That's all everyone wants to see anyways!

Posts in this journal are welcome. Also I apologize in advance for the pictures being under HPS. I did not want to pull all the girls out for a photoshoot quite yet.

I'm finishing up my run now of Blueberry, The Purps, Sour Kosher, and Kali 47 (The big plants pictured below).. They will be done in a month or less, and the little guys (also pictured) will be taking their place, as I grow perpetually. The next round consist's of Paradise Seeds Opium, HSO Green Crack, G13 Pineapple Express and Seedism AppleJack (white widow X Jack Herer).

I've got the Opium and one of the AppleJacks in the waterfarm buckets using Cutting Edge Solution nutes. In the 7 gal air-pots (organic) is the Green Crack, Pineapple express, and the other Applejack. Crazy thing about the 2 Applejacks is they came from one seed! They are twins, as you can see in this thread... https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/786036-2-spouts-1-seed-twins.html

They start off in the 3x3x5.5 under a 600w HPS for veg, where they will be fimmed/LST'ed/supercropped for a month or so. Or until the flower room finishes. Which is a 4x4x6.5 tent with 1000w HPS that the big plants are in.

Were off to a good start though, and I'm pretty excited about this grow. I usually do organic exclusively, but I'm trying out the waterfarm/dwc buckets to try to maximize yield but still have a few organic plants for flavor. Thanks for checking in.

Utilizing that space nicely I see :) How do you like the Cutting edge? Are you using that just in the DWC? I love the stuff, I use it with Tupur with great success. no Phing is nice also.

Thanks! Yea I have been really surprised with Cutting Edge Solutions. I only run it for the buckets, the soil is an organic mix with organic teas. This is my first hydro grow with Cutting Edge, but I did use C.E.S. on a soil grow before and it was my highest yielding plant to date. 6 1/2 ounces per plant, Ak-48, in 3 gallon pots.

Just checked out that Tupur, that's cool. So you don't have to PH? Why is this?

That looks wonderful. Nice use of space. Some very nice work thank you.

Are you liking those airpots? I have been thinking of switching to them but I don't know how it will effect room humidity. Afraid it will throw things out of whack for CO2. Perhaps I will try a handful and see what happens. I don't doubt their benefits but am not sure of overall effects. Any guidance?

Hmm, guess you can't up-can those, can you?

Thanks man, really appreciate it!

I've been digging the airpots actually. Watering isn't quite as bad as some people make it seem. You just have to water slowly and towards the middle. Also if you put them in those tall plastic water catchers, it works like a hempy bucket. It even has a 2 inch reservoir or so. It's effect on co2 I am not lucky enough to know. That is something to consider though.

BUT you can up-pot them, very easily in fact, which is one of the cool things. They actually are flat pieces of plastic that you hold together with two plastic screws. So you can take it apart to remove the plant, and you can also store them very easily if needed.

I have heard some people claim 20%+ increase in yield, so I am pumped to compare to previous plastic pot grows.

Sorry been busy, but yea man that Sour Kosher ended up really good. Yield was decent but it has that classic sour diesel flavor, smokin on some now. It is the best tasting of the group. The Blueberry smells exactly like a damn blueberry, its pretty crazy.

HSO's Green Crack is just their version, but I have grown out HSO's Pineapple Skunk, Blue Dream, OG Kush, and the Lemon Thai Kush. All of them were very good except the OG Kush was only okay for me. Wasn't anything like the original. But all the other's were fire and yielded well.

But yea the Green Crack and the Pineapple Express both are performing just as well as the others, and they're all doing quite good so far. The true test will be in flower here soon.

Nice LST!

I have had nothing but a great experience with Pineapple Express from G13. Still 3 weeks or so out, but it has been amazing from seedling all the way through flower. I leaned her over when she was about 7-8 inches high and tied her in that position. You can see the result in the first picture which was about 1-2 weeks into flower. I also regularly pulled off the larger shade leaves and the result was thick lower branches with big bud sites. I am going to be sad to see her go :) And it does smell fruity - and I usually just smell ganja :)

Yoooo beautiful girls brother!! So are you running the same nute schedule through coco and a hydro-drip too? Let me know what strains are your favorite, I'm always trying to expand the catalog!! Having started my career in Amherst I'll surely have to try HSO Amherst Sour D and see if I can't hear Jerry G in my head :D!!

Okay so I finally got around to harvesting all the plants and have moved all the girls into the flower tent. Pre-flowers are showing here and there so I will prob veg for another week than switch to flower. They are already very smelly, especially the AppleJack twins. I am also very excited about the Opium from Paradise Seeds. Huge trunk, very even thick colas, breeze to grow and will be a yielder for sure. I have pruned more heavily than I usually do and LST'ed in a way to specifically encourage colas and no more popcorn/airy buds.

I am also loving hydro more and more lately and think I am going to switch to it exclusively. I think the benefits of dro outweigh those of organic and soil methods. I have also just invested in a new cabinet which is badass and a bit more stealth than my current setup. It's pictured below.

Also, I will take better pictures not under HPS here soon.

That tent looks like it should fill in very nice!
Thanks man! Yea I just moved them into the flower tent so they've got a bit more room. I always end up crowding out the tent pretty good though haha.

Nice man, she looks dank, good to see. I have always been iffy about g13 labs, but always hear great things about their P.E. so I had to give it a go.

I'm about to pop that Amherst Sour D here in a week or two actually. But yea I'll let you know which turns out to be my favorite, so far out of this run, I am loving the Opium from Paradise Seeds.

2 of the plants are in DWC/Waterfarm buckets, and I was using Cutting Edge Solutions nutes, but have switched to Advanced's Jungle Juice for the PH perfect aspect of it. AN always seemed scammy to me, but damn this stuff honestly works. I have not checked PH or PPM in weeks and its going great. Such a time saver for me cause I was having to do it twice a day.

The other 3 plants are in an organic super soil, in airpots, feeding with teas now and then.

So the girls have been flowering for 2 weeks now so I thought I would post some update pics. Their looking great, getting excited for this run.

Thought I'd mention that the roots are bright white, its the nutrients that make them look slightly brown. Really loving hydro, I think its won me over.

Hi TheNameless, how is it going.

I am curious as to what you think about the Applejack, I personally love it, oldskool but trueskool.
Not much grow reports on this strain yet so quite pleased to see your efforts.

Peace

Thought I'd do a quick update while I had the girls out for a water. Didn't have a lot of time so I just snapped a few pics, but they're looking great. Really excited about the AppleJack now from Seedism. They turned out to be the best plants of the bunch. Been quick drying some smaller buds of the Opium too and its very potent and smelly for quick dried bud with no cure or proper dry. Anyways, thanks for looking.
