Well Like the title says, its time I got this thing off the ground, My box is a Wardrobe from a hotel that was remodeling, I purchased the cabinet for $30 dollars. I read forum after forum just like many of you did ,,, or did you,, haha jokes on me. So I decided to go the LED route, I was going to start with house bulbs , those new CREE bulbs from home depot, I even purchased around 25 of them, but Wise man informed me I could get into a basic LED for less money, THank God for homedepot, I have returned so much crap, and they have not said a word to me other than thank you. I ordered a inline fan from them , it was too loud, returned it too, well I couldnt keep the 4" carbon filter I bought to home depot either then, so I returned that, UGH,, I slowed down, I read all of the grows you guys have been doing, and the right parts started to come together, some of you know a few of the things I am going to use if you have seen some of my comments on other thread perhaps,
I have 3 feminized Northern Lights Seeds, if I go with soil like some of you, I will sprout all 3 and do three plants in a scrog, If I do with my single hydro set up, I will just do one and scrog that, so I hope to post some pictures almost daily if i can of the build, and I hope to have the girls under the light within a week, ( how ever long popping and a that shit I get to experience still takes)
you will see the box get assembled, all the parts are here except a couple of YO YO's that I am going to use to hang the filter in the top. and hopefully a sweet plant grow and a nice harvest, stay with me, its going to be bumpy I bet and I could use everyones help , I am sure of it, thanks in advance too.
So here goes, wish me luck and here are some pictures for you
the wardrobe is 38" wide and 24" deep, and 6 feet tall,
6" can fan
variac speed controller
14" long 6" wide carbon filter purchased from hyrdo store
300 watt mars led 1st gen light
flood and drain in 3.5 gallon buckets, going old skool siphon and GRAVEL for medium,
500 watt cadet heater , 7 day digital programable thermostate ( cold here )IMG_7142.JPGIMG_7143.JPG IMG_7201.JPG IMG_7414.JPG IMG_7142.JPG IMG_7143.JPG IMG_7201.JPG IMG_7414.JPG

its so cool to see you both here, I value both of your opinions allot, thanks , so today I worked for 8 hours straight on this wardrobe, I greatly underestimated the amount of fabrication and construction that needed to be done, but I just went straight at it, got out lots and lots of power tools , I felt like Tim allen !, so I have some great pictures, I will just post them up and let them speak for themselves, here goes,

you will see the hardware used to latch / lock/ and light seal the double dutch doors. I added wood to the inside edges next to hinges and a piece that rides on one door and acts as an overlap seal . weather stipping will be applied to all these surfaces after paint is applied tommorow,, there was a shelf that would not remove without dissasembly of the whole cab decide to just cut it out with the saber saw. installed a cool locker style lock, love the way that turned out. put to latches on the other door, you close it first and latch everything up tight,,, here are some more picsIMG_7423.JPGIMG_7423.JPG IMG_7423.JPG IMG_7423.JPG IMG_7423.JPG IMG_7423.JPG IMG_7424.JPG

the bottom was weak and I almost stepped thru the floor, thank goodness it didnt break under my fat ass, so you will see a 2x4 added under the floor, dont need that breaking under plants in the middle of a grow, , you can see the 4" bottom hole for passive intake, and the 6" top hold for fan vent

Oh and you shouldn't need a big 500w heater id go with a small tube heater it's freezing outside here my home heating is broke and my 2ft 65w tube heater does such a good job it's never been on past half power :) at the min it's screwed to the side because the cable wouldn't reach to where I needed it but i have ordered a new one and it will moved to on the floor between the two pots in my scrog next grow

I really like the 2 plant scrog idea, I am wrestiling between using my hydro I set up or just grab 2 pots and plant the seeds, and do a soil my first grow back in the game ,,, i was out of commision for 29 years,, thats far to long

You have more of a square area for each plant with 2 scrogged so it's easier to spread all branches out evenly. All mine in the led grow are in coco/clay balls except for my was but no longer runt I ran out of coco repotting the last one so had to mix it up with around 50% high quality soil 40% coco 10% clay ball and it thrived in it surprisingly lol I stumbled across a few plastic storage totes I might use for my scrog because they are perfect size to fill my floor space for maximum root ball size and use the lids as trays :) I might even make a few bamboo squarish frames the size of my totes with legs at the corners to push into the coco and set my scrog nets up on those so I can move tote and net together easily in and out for cabinet cleaning

I don't really see hydro as a necessity unless you have masses of space for huge ass trees. Yeah it will speed up your time from seed to harvest but I find hydro grown plants get tall and stretchy quick and hight is always an issue in cabinets especially with carbon filters etc.. taking up headroom

Ps. Your wardrobe is looking great so far :) I had been keeping a watchful eye on led grow lights for around 10 years and always said one day I'll grab one when they are cheaper and proven eventually stumbled across oilmaker68 and his thread that sold me on spending a spare £70 to test one out in an empty wardrobe and as always with me I take an idea and get carried away with it 10 weeks later I have 2 of them with 6 plants in flower and a veg cabinet being set up with a 3rd mars light lol
