One Light or Many?

Has anyone tried the 200-300w range cfls you find on eBay and amazon with the reflector? Ive been eyeballing these but doubt their true wattage. They don't specify whether its actual wattage or equivalent. I thought about one for my 2x2x4 tent with supplemental hanging 23w cfls. Good idea or should i keep my current setup of many 23w bulbs. Ive heard more bulbs with the same cumulative wattage is better for coverage while one with the same wattage as the bunch is better for penetration. Understood cfls suck at penetration but does it help? no clue what to do. must stay with cfls tho

Many...cfls are only good at close range...I spread em out n cover entire plant...literally... get the "Y" bulb splitters n get creative...

fluorescent lights are usually rated in "equivalent lumens" so you gotta be careful to as what your buying. if you have the product in hand you can usually find the true wattage on the bulb or elsewhere on the packaging.

The Apollo 250watt cfl is true watts and 18,000. Lumens. But hydrofarm sell them and they are way better then the apollo ones. The apollo cfls loose their intensity after amonth and its real noticeable. I use a mix big cfl on top and hang the small one along the sides of the plants.
