Okay, Sounds Plausable to me.

okay i have a theory. the sun, it doesn't just put out one color in the spring and one color in the fall. it just has more of one color for spring(blue, less red) and more of one color for fall(red, less blue). so i was thinking to max out the light capabilities to have best results, use AgroMax 400 watt MH 3000K Warm Bulb for veg to promote good lush growth(but still maintaining the mixed spectrum, like the sun) then switching over to flowing using this for the first week to prevent stretching. then use a AgroMax 400 watt HPS Bulb(30% more blue) for further prevention of stretching and to promote bud density. Using this grow light (hps) up until the last week of flowering, the last week switching back to mh to increase to potency somewhat. ive heard the uvb in mh can call for danker buds. and since the growth would almost pretty much be done i don't think downgrading to the mh for the last week wouldn't effect them in a bad way. oh btw it would be in an air cooled euro reflector with 2 6" duct for max cooling. and maybe either a squirral cage fan or stanley blower for room vent with carbon filter on the inside. fan>filter>room
space would be no bigger than 2x3. I think it'll be like the stuff in the dispensaries hehe. comments please?:peace:Loghead

Lots of people run them both for flower, you have a good theory :) The plant does love both spectrums thats for sure. personally I would not take out the hps and put the mh back in.... if possible run them both, or just stick to hps for flower. IMO

yes it would be better. wouldn't stress the plant and it would just finish perfect, but i just have had heard good things about using uvb and the science is there. i mean i haven't got it yet, so... yeah. i mean i'm exploring lots of options suited for me. but i mean for sure doesn't mh (with enhanced red spectrum) into the first week or so of flower(to prevent stretching) then finish with an hps with a blue spectrum boost sound like a pretty solid setup otherwise?

oh btw thanks for the quick response :joint::hug:

For sure man, the mix spectrum bulbs I think are a great technology. I don't own any but people I know rave about them. I have heard one or two negative things on here though.... but yea, sounds like you got something solid for sure.

thanks, well the mh tend to make the plants more bushy(depends on the strain) and from what i seen it can help with the beginning stages of flowering to prevent stretching which would always be a plus IMO. And running an hps for flowering they say is the best for when it comes to yield, density, whatever you know and having like a third more blue light thrown in than originally in an hps would also be considered a plus. i've seen people get kill with cfl's, not rock hard but dense. theres a million ways to skin a cat ya know what i mean man? what are you running?
