Sanitize everything you touch and all tools you are using for the process. Make sure there is no air movement and before you start use a spray bottle with an alcohol solution and mist the air around you. Literally spray every inch in the room above your head and let the mist settle. This is a cheap and efficient way to sterilize the air so to speak if you don't have a HEPA flowhood. Without taking sterile measures it could be a bust and you'd be contaminating your syringe.

and yes the answer is yes. make a glove box so you have a sterile surface

you dont have to make it a literal glove box. that's just the most sterile method. you can just wear gloves and work in a sideways plastic container, itll help prevent dust and debri from almost every angle. just keep some disinfectant nearby.
