I agree but with the right marketing most likely they will do fine at those prices. From my experience I would have to say that for every one person in the MMJ program like you and me who are up on the game and fair prices there are 5 others who don't have all types of hookups and buy into scare tactics. I agree completely that those inflated prices are terrible and we aren't allowed to make "profit" but until the majority sees it that way $400+ ounces will be ordinary because there is consumers out there who will pay that. A lot of the older people who are getting their cards haven't messed with the whole weed scene since they were younger, now I know they must have some troubles finding good weed at good prices if a guy who basically lives and breathes this shit (me) still has to go through the run around every once in a while.

I have found that talented growers grow much better herb than they offer at the dispensaries. That is a great reason as to why caregivers and personal growers won't touch the "so called" dispensaries with a 10' pole. I agree 100% that until things change, dispensaries are placing a financial target on patients that haven't learned a better way, and they deserve a little more compassion and a little less financial rape. I think one of the biggest reasons they charge so much is that they are operating in a grey area and can lose everything at the drop of a hat. Apparently there is no insurance against being raided, product confiscated and shut down. It seems they are trying to cut hay while the sun is shining.

i didnt read the wole thing but noone mentioned traverse citys shops and calillacs shops. cadillac has one on main st next to the toyota dealer, and one on 13th st. believe me prices are stil just as silly as downstate. 15-20 a g and 400 and oz.... i am growing my own 12 plants and will be making medibles from any overages. i do not pay inflated prices.... althow they were the only place to buy my clones from....:( at 30$ a clone thow i didnt complain, i bought a couple dif strains and grew mothers to make 12... no big deal. cost me 90 to have 12 plants and if i dont like them i have 8 feminized seeds i will plant for the next batch......but at that price... thats like a 1/8 store fuck that and ill always have meds. oh and btw.... your supposed to cut hay when the sun is shinning bro...you mean seems like they cuttn hay in the rain.... as it ruins the hay and is pointless..... lol maybe im reading it wrong but i grew up farming. we cut hay in the sun. lol

they raid these places because they are often run shady...they let non-cardholders in because they know the person.. sell bunk shit... alot of these stores use vaporizors and resell the junk... they dont run a legal clean medical sales buisiness.

who said you cant grow for profit? thats what caregivers do... u dont even have to be a med user and you can grow to supply patients.... i know my electric bill skyrocketed.... if i could legally sell some overages off for profit and make my bills back i would.... i see nothing wrong with that. these pharmaceutical companies sell pills for profit... this is meds just the same.... some of you have this idea that its just legal on paper for recreational use to share with buddies and like.... well not so much. some of us need this medicine and its more than a social smoke.... if you want it legal push for legal not medical. its medicine guys..... lets keep that mindset and alot of these issues like being raided and shutdown would go away...

Ahh but there is insurance for be raided by local and state cops. As long as you within the law, you are insured. Now if a fed comes in, then you're screwed. I've been looking into this niche market for awhile. Every commercial insurance policy has specific language in it forbidding insurance for illegal substances in accordance with federal law. Therefore the policy is null and void.
