Obtaining Clones? ... Legally?

No limit on the number of plants until they are larger than 12". Then it is 6 per patient.
This is not correct. The law states that you can have 6 mature marijuana plants. A mature marijuana plant is defined as female and harvestable. That's it. The law used to define it with the 12" but does not now.
Any plants in veg or clones are not mature marijuana plants, and therefore don't count. The only real limit I would be concerned about personally is 99, which is the point where federal laws get more serious. This last part is just my own opinion.

Cool. I didn't even notice that change.

Fed laws get really bad over 50 plants.

http://norml.org/laws/penalties/item/federal-penalties-2

"Manufacture or distribution of less than 50 plants or 50 kilograms of marijuana is punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. For 50-99 plants or 50-99 kilograms the penalty increases not more than 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1 million if an individual, $5 million if other than an individual for the first offense. Manufacture or distribution of 100-999 plants or 100-999 kilograms carries a penalty of 5 - 40 years in prison and a fine of $2-$5 Million. For 1000 plants or 1000 kilograms or more, the penalty increases to 10 years - life in prison and a fine of $4-$10 Million."

Little known factoid about the Federal limit - it's a cumulative limit and can be applied to any five year period. This means that if you run 30 plants at a time you are over that limit when you pull your 4th run. It also means that an old photo of someone standing in a field of plants in the 70's could be a real liability.

did not know that. but it makes since, i know a lot of those laws are the same way. i knew a guy that sold to a UC for a few YEARS before they hit him, and when they did it was for selling ALL the dimes and nicks he sold over the years plus the last 'large' bust of like a 1/2lb or some silly shit..

good info on the numbers thing too, i wonder if old pics at a cloner count?

^^^This

human language AKA words is a system of associating abstract symbols and sounds with stored memories; and since we all have different memories we have slightly different associations attached to those words.

ever read any robert greenleaf?

great concept on servant leadership is his bread and butter

BUT

he uses a lot of work from other psychologists, sociologists, and philosophy people to site and sculpt his work. but some of his must interesting tidbits came from linguists who spoke of the fundamental flaws in how we communicate. how basically no matter how hard both parties try (active listening and conscious dialogue) full 100% understanding will not be accomplished. which Greenleaf translated into; we need to work real hard when we communicate AND must arguments are really semantic variances that rose to unproductive dialogues.. Your post reminded me of it, i haven't studied his work in years..

Order some seeds, it's easy. That's the best way to start out. You get what you want, don't inherit someone else's problems, learn a lot, and it really doesn't cost that much. Plus, later on you'll have genetics to trade.

I`m a mmj patient/caregiver here in maine and i have some extra strains(beans) i`m willing to donate for any growers in need. No clones right now though, I always donate most of my cuttings to a few patients, but maybe next time i clone. PM me if interested.
