There are a number of rightist, or libertarians here that I have a high regard for, even though they have ideologies different than my own because they stand their ground, they explain, they define, some of them even mount evidence in defense of their positions. I got a little lit this morning so I am not about to name names in fear that I might miss some of them, but So far I don't see Ben in that mix. I know the kind he appears to be, those who post and perhaps think in unexamined bumper sticker bits. They think that someone who wrote a snippet of simplistic nonsense "sums it all up" and they post those same snippets as though they were wisdom handed down from Saint Reagan himself.
But if they simply drop these little rabbit pellets on us and then leave, only to post the occasional snide remark then I have great doubt as to the poster's ability to actually grasp, let alone argue for his position.

So his presidency is so bland that you can't remember anything he did that you agreed with and you are so unsure of the things he did wrong that you can't even "mention" a few. Seems that you may not have been actually watching at all.
In my opinion, no president has managed to be 100 percent wrong. I loathed Bush but I can still come up with things he did that I agreed with. That is because I paid attention to his actions and not just the folks who report on his actions through a window of hatred. I can also give you a lamentable list of things that Obama has done that are in my opinion most foul. But I wasn't asked the question.

Here is a conversation going on before me where two folks are saying, unthinkingly I might add, that I am incapable of thinking. Why that "evidence" must be invalid because it comes from sources you don't agree with. And beyond that we are deluded and lead by the nose by that "media" that you have labeled so conveniently as unacceptable so that you don't ever HAVE to examine the "evidence" we present.
But I wonder who are the real "useful idiots" here. There is a pretty easy way to find that out. Show us the daylight between your beliefs and beliefs that big business and monied interests want you to believe.

I still don't think you get the idea of PR in America. Those who's opinions are being shaped don't know they have been - If I buy your opinion, it is Mine and no longer your own.
So you only bought insurance because it will pay for your 80 a month prescription? - that is 960 bucks a year. How much are you paying in premiums? It can't be much. Seems to me that you didn't do the due diligence that anyone who gets personal health insurance has to do.
Are my meds covered, where is the nearest ER that is in my prospective plan's network? Is my favorite doctor/group in the network? What pharmacies are in network and what drugs are in what tier.
Beyond that, if you bought insurance only because of one medicine then you really aren't comprehending what health insurance is for - the operative word is insurance. It isn't something for nothing, I thought you folks hated that concept.
Funny, you are blaming Obama care for your lack of due diligence (what happened to personal responsibility?) and strangely you are not upset that the private insurance company is the one that is jerking you around.
So how much ARE your premiums? I would love to get a plan that costs me less than a thousand a year.

If you care about those who care about you. My daughter has a livein boyfriend. He refuses to get insurance. Now, what happens if he gets seriously injured or sick? It happens you know, and you never know when. First his savings are depleted, then, because my daughter loves him - HER savings are depleted. His family loves him so they will pay what it takes as well. Or he simply declares bankruptcy and you and I get to pay. Is that really what you want? No, none of us want to be told what to do or what to buy but all of us are told to pay for your irresponsibility if you don't do the right thing. But I don't think the fines are going to go into effect just yet.

I don't have many posts deleted. But the other day I had an entire thread deleted. Of course it was an unpopular subject.
A specific member challenged me to do something, the obvious implication that no such evidence existed. Well I found it, so I posted the thread. His name was referenced in the thread title, but obviously not about him. The mod who deleted it said you can't make threads about members...
First it wasn't, and second the member solicited it, and third there are all several threads, one on the first page, where one member makes a thread with another's name in it.
So obviously it was bullshit to delete that post, and was only done because of speech censorship.
I mean, aren't we all supposedly mature people here? Mature enough to grow and smoke an intoxicating plant, but not to read something some disagree with? Makes no sense.
