I believe the "power vacuum" is inevitable regardless of the time-line. There is a huge difference between Paul's foreign policies and Obama's policies. Obama promised to end one war but continue harassing other nations near our oil. Paul wants to rethink our foreign policies all together. For the record, I think Obama is more sensible than Romgingtorum would be.
