NZ 2014/15 Outdoor Questions & Your Journals :)

Hey everyone!

I planted these attempted clones into the potting mix around 50 hours ago.
Not a very good picture but they aren't looking too healthy right now. Earlier today they were looking quite nice.

They are starting to get fairly floppy (just put a little bit of water on them because I hadn't done that in quite a while and the soil was drying out).

Didn't have any rapid rooting plugs so I decided to pot them and see how that went.

I am a massive newbie so any tips are extremely appreciated =) I will keep you guys updated!

*P.S* it's a crazy crab tank :peace:

Update time. Heres some pictures from Tuesday I only just got around to uploading them, theyre about 3.5 - 4ft tall now. Everything's looking good no more rabbit damage other then then them digging up around my plants to try and burrow? lol They must like the soft soil. Even though the wetaher has been total bullshit the plants are still growing supprisingly fast :) The bat guano and my compost, sheepshit and soil mix seems to be doing the job. I added Mexican bat guano and a mix of nitrosol/molaases to get all the microbes worked up last time I went up which seems to have done the trick Next time im up im gonna use all purpose mid veg guano which is slightly stronger then the Mexican stuff. Also I topped them all except a Panama which im gonna grow tall.

Panama DC - Pretty impressed with this one so far no problems and looking happy.

IMG_4387.JPG

LSD - Quite tight noding, looking good but its hard to believe it has skunk in it lol Just looks downright like the mazar/afghani. The leaves are huge the width of the fingers were easily 2 inches or more wide. It got a tiny bit of burn from the neem because when I used it, it had been lying around and formed little lumps of neem and i never realized and it got onto my plant but nevermind I got it of so it should be fine now. Barely anymore bug damage.

Huge fan leaves on the LSD.

Cotton Candy - Shes algood but was put out a week behind the rest so shes a tad behind she also seems to be a
lighter feeder then the rest with really dark leaves. Anyone whos grown Cotton Candy know what pheno this is? Looks more sativa to me but shes got a really thick sturdy stem already.

IMG_20141216_135029.jpg

Panama Topped. - Shes small and bushy and a little bit behind the hybrids I think being a sativa it needs some really nice sun thatl kick it into gear but other then that Im loving the shape.

IMG_20141216_135515.jpg

Taskenti - Probably my favorite at the moment, no problems just a soild grower, shes gonna be a nice bush.

Close up, its always nice to see a preying plant.

IMG_20141216_135746.jpg

Panama - And finally the uptopped Panama. The node spacing on this thing is insane its just stretching on the lower stems like crazy but it looks algood.

This is crazy lol

Yeah definitely warming up but the weather is still sub tropical as fuck with all the humidity, the other night my thermometer read 19 degrees in the middle of the night and I had to have the doors open the whole night lol. Perfect for vegging plants though. yeah with the grass growing crazy it leaves obvious tracks being so tall so I'm staying away at the moment. should be a beautiful plant being in the natural shape, I'm gonna leave my Black Domina g13 x OE untopped so they grow tall enough to get all day sun come Feb-April.

Yeah man just using the Mexican, top dressing every 3 weeks or so. Haha that's cool, I wonder what the bat's NPK over there is? the green Panama should have red leaflet stems and green branching stems. The red/pink ones show sex first from late jan-early feb.
Your plants are looking great though man, loving those beautiful Taskenti leaves and the cotton candy looks real nice too - should be real wide beasty plant. Not too sure about the bug damage but it's not vine hoppers or anything too menacing, if it gets worse just give em a heavy neem spray at night or early morning. Shit I'm refusing to get attacked by Vine hoppers this year, Panamas are susceptible to them and they hardly touch Taskenti. Taskenti has insane pest resistance, best I've ever seen.

Shit yeah they've gone better than I expected, must be a mix of being an F1 hybrid and humid warm weather. Hopefully they get over 10ft before flower. Aiming for 12 ft plants this season. I'd say 50/50 technically but they seem to be mostly Orient Express dominant with the leaf shape apart from one short one.

Haha yeah man we definitely gotta start something up if it becomes legal I'd love to breed landrace indicas with landrace sativas and acclimatise them to our climate. The DC is slow as growing but apparently the smoke is better than any other indica, awesome breeding tool. Taskenti x Deep Chunk would be to die for!. The CC smokes really good with this pheno, nice dank nuggety buds with a sweet undertone.
Na man the Malawi is still going good lol, still got just under an ounce - smells like a fig plant cured.
Shit man out of it weather ay I wish itd get a move on lol Still plenty of time though atleast we dont have to visit them as much for watering. Oh man your plants are gonna be massive untopped when do you reckon theyl flower?

Damn none of the panamas have red leaflet stems but one of them has purple/red main stems, they're both showing sex though and have alternating nodes. Or wait I think one is showing sex but not the other I cant remember. The smaller one has a few rusty lower leaves any idea what it would be? Yeah the bug damage aint to bad its barely anything and only on the LSD. You got any vine hoppers this year? The Taskenti is great bro beautiful green growth and no bug damage and smells hashy. Seems to be loving it down here. Reckon youl get 10ft? My panama might hit 10 but the rest are topped so they probably wont lol

Shit yeah if it became legal thatd be the best job breeding n shit. Taskenti x Deep chunk would be killer someone needs to do that! You know what CC pheno I have?
Supprised you sitill have some Malawi lol How the high?

Hey Strip!

I am in Australia and it's quite hard to pinpoint strains or get decent seeds, do you have any tips on how I could find out the strain of a plant I have? Or any tips on getting seeds?

Hey mate you probably wont be able to tell what strain you have. Your best bet is to order from herbies pick n mix online thats how most of the people on here know what strains they have is because they get them online. Theyl get through just fine

Yea almost no chance you'll be able to identify the strain. Perhaps get come ideas from the smell etc. (like if you've done a few strains you may be able to recognise afghan or kush etc but nothing as close as naming a strain.)

Yea defiantly or maybe whether its indica/ sativa dominant etc

Yea thank you =) I was thinking of buying seeds from somewhere. If I find out a bit more about herbies I will probably order some from there. It seems a bit risky to me but that's just because I don't know much about it :)

Harvest tip for sticky fingers: washing powder eats through resin without scrubbing.
one of my biggest hates lol. Worth wearing rubber gloves even if doing a decent amount.

yea the last few days have been good. Might actually get a mean Christmas day and New Years. Imagine how great it'd be if its hot for 3-4 months from now instead of earlier when it usually starts. Be a awesome year for outdoor if so.:leaf:

I got the arizer extreme q vape for $250 from namastevapes with free shipping and a solid free grinder. Could have gone through ebay for $200 but didn't want the risk of it being seized.

It's one of the closest competitors to that $700 volcano vape. Vaping a bowl reminds me of smoking a dab of oil.

It feels a bit like hash. I've only been using it for a day or so. It takes a while to vape a bowl than to smoke it, even with the fan assist but it goes alot further. It's like 3-4 bowls in 1 and if you have a bong hit during the sesh you get the full spectrum high, not that the vape high is missing much.

I noticed i can't get that paralleling feeling like i do from a massive bong hit that slowly turns into a good high, with the vape you have to build the high up. I get that hit in the throat like i do from hash easily from the vapour. Tastes like hash or oil a little bit, but the taste isn't much to write home about if the temp is too high.
