Wow thanks bro but now I’m thinking was I just lucky!! Did spend a bit on the whole set up mind you but this is all for my personal enjoyment and I’ve enjoyed the whole experience so far, keeps me busy. The prize at the end is just the cherry on top for me (oh and I’ll enjoy just as much trust me haha).
I feel that so ha D, tha pasison is there for sure! And I get excited reading about people who live the aspect of growing

based on the pics, i'd give it at least another week. you still have quite a few white pistils and the trichs i can see on the leaves don't have the reddish haze that says they're done.
Thanks Roger I kinda started harvesting but held back after your post. Your right the pistols are still mostly white. But I did read though that some sativas continually grow white pistils and also that some sativas trichs don’t even go amber. Also suspected that too much light had caused foxtails. Hence why I keep asking if they are ready. Hopefully with experience I’ll get better at this. Just worried that they have not really changed in shape or pistil colour for a week now and the trichs look the same from what little I can see

We can't see the trichomes, try using a torch or sunlight with your loupe.
I like all my personal weed to go a bit a long, I need the sedative effect as I have manic tendencies. Which would leave me exhausted if I acted on every whim.

Thanks bro I will wait a bit and hopefully my microscope gets here soon. I think me and you are in the same boat with the need for meds.

I know it’s been a while had some personal issues but back onsite again. Just wanted to show what happened in the end. Basically it was poor, not gonna lie. I was so excited man when it was a plant it looked great and huuuge! But it was crap I think I left it way too long and the reason I did was because of those white pistils. But it being my first grow I didn’t realise the plant was stressed and it foxtailed. It just kept growing more buds on top of buds. Anyways cut it down and after drying and then curing for 2 weeks even using boveda pouches for perfect humidity it just knocked me out. As in no buzz just sleep. I had three large jars in the end and loads of trim. In the end I gave it to a friend who turned them Into caps. Still first grow live and learn. Plants outgrew the lights and tent, got a bigger tent, underwatered them (was afraid of overwatering), lights were too close, and crucially waited waaaay too long to harvest possibly turning what thc it had to cbd and possibly destroying them. As I said live and learn and already in my second grow. Prob 6 weeks left. Now that is going well

(Images we’re just before harvest, note the foxtails, apologies for poor quality)

yep, some strains will do that, you have to keep an eye on the trichs, and if they all get ripe while there are still a lot of white hairs, cut em anyway, the hairs will turn when you cut them.

Cure that shit properly...
Thanks for the reply, I kinda did it for a month or two (fair enough the burping ceased towards the end). I had so much bud I was smoking from one jar after two weeks. But the other jars which I cured longer didn’t improve. I showed it to some friends that grow good shit and they reckoned the same that I basically messed it up. It was not 100% terrible I mean it did put me to sleep but no taste, smell and def no thc effects just a relaxing de stressed feeling.

My prob was I bought a loupe which had only x20 (why I got it don’t ask!) so I was going by the old way of 80% orange hairs. Thanks for the advice, is it mainly sativas that do that?

it's hard to say anymore, it's practically impossible to find a pure sativa or indica, everything is bred together so much anymore.
some strains don't even amber, you just have to watch all the other signs and guess when it's time.

I may be the only one who think that those pictures are an absolute mess. This is not going to be what you were hoping for. Better luck next time my dude.

Definitely not what I was hoping for. I had 2 main problems going against me other than the ones I mentioned earlier: 1) my first grow and 2) my first time growing any plant ever. Absolutely clueless! I’m just glad I got something out of it in the end and didn’t kill them off completely! But learnt a lot and will try again.

That's what it's all about Man is learning and the experience:)

Some people here try and pretend like they are doing better than what you did but in the honest truth everyone has those days and those grows. Being your first time ever growing anything; you did awesome!

I've seen way shittier plants grown by way more experienced growers and some on this site to date.

Keep at it and try try try again, oh and always document your grows. Even if all goes to shit and it's bad or dying, write it down, take a pic. You'll wish you had if you hadn't.

Best of luck to all your future grows! I'll be on look out

A harvest is all that matters. 7 grams or 700. The fact that you make it to the end and get something is the goal. Getring more increases every grow. Of course we all want 100 mill in the bank, but would you say Fxxx nah man i don't want a stinking mill? You'll get 10x better on your second grow for sure. Just keep posting here and you'll get good help to get you there.

Thanks that really gave me a boast reading that. It’s cool I’m not here to prove anything just trying to connect with like minded people who share this passion. Thanks for the pick me up. I’m on my second grow right now. So haven’t given up and doubt I will. My garden is even looking good now, full of flowers and I’m growing my own veg in the greenhouse. And it all started from trying to grow some weed! Btw I’ve documented this one so I will be posting shortly
