Nutrients and flushing.

Hey guys, i just have a few questions, ive looked online but no one seemed to have a clear answer for me.
(first time grower, lemon skunk )

quick quick, Does organic nutes cause salt build up?
if so, when people say ''flush'' your plant, i understand you have to put water about 3 times the pot size to flush all the salt out, but wont that drown them?
and last but not least, after flushing, when is feeding allowed? 3-4 days after?

i'm using General organics nutrients, and following their chart

thank you

hey bud

I'm assuming you got their starter box. Try to feed less than the feeding chart tells you. They typically have you feed at pretty strong levels. When you overfeed, that's when you get "salt buildup".

Try to think of pot as a regular plant, say, like something in your backyard. It's not special. You really don't need all of these nutrients to begin with, especially if you have a decent soil mix.

Don't water everyday. Water when the soil starts to dry out. There's no universal interval between waterings.

Just remember the rule: less is more. a lot of beginners will "grow" their plants straight to death. Just try to give it what it needs and let it do its thing.

Yes, Organics still need flushing IMO. I have seen what flushing does in both hydro and soil and flushing does remove some of the heavy metals even in soil.

Don't believe it...have it tested for yourself, well worth the $40 for piece of mind.
