"Smooth Play," says Ambassador Steven, formally, found dead in Libya.

I much prefer the South American Press. Very little skin in the game. Much honesty in reporting.

At least 36 people were killed in Libya's eastern city of Benghazi, many of them civilian, where Libyan Special Forces and Islamist militants clashed on Saturday night and Sunday morning, medical and security sources said.

Libya's Western allies worry the OPEC country is becoming polarised between the two main factions of competing militia brigades and their political allies, whose battle is shaping the country's transition.

Special envoys for Libya from the Arab League, the United States and European countries expressed their concerns about the situation in Libya, saying it had reached a "critical stage" and called for an immediate ceasefire.

Hey, I wonder if Libya and Mali can join the Calphate? Sure. And then Nigeria. Oh yeah, don't forget about Lebanon....already most the way there. Jordan is in more trouble than Israel.

Maybe they will bring back the slave trade and the HAMAS types here will say, "cool. it not the same slavery as the hated USA who started World Slavery back in Mose's day."

Sorry, Charlie, but USA no longer in charge any more. Empire crumbling.

Libya was a nice place to be a citizen during the reign of Ghadaffi, but we stole his gold and put him out of business in order to get the Chinese out.

It's a real shit hole now.

Or is it all just a plan to let them kill each other off before we swoop in to pick off the remaining few who would resist?

bring BACK the slave trade? never ended; as hard as the evil white people tried to end it, the Arabs, backed by 7th century ethics continue to enslave tens of thousands of blacks, today.

the last time we had a reason to be in Libya was 1815.
....
From the Halls of Montezuma
To the shores of Tripoli;
We fight our country's battles
In the air, on land, and sea;
First to fight for right and freedom
And to keep our honor clean;
We are proud to claim the title
Of United States Marine.

The battle of Dern, in the first Barbary war. The Marine's Hymn is also the oldest song in the Armed forces.
A single detachment of Marines (10) won the entire war. 2 were killed and 3 were wounded. On the Libyan side 800 were killed and 1,200 were wounded. No other US forces participated in that battle.
Lt. Presley O'Bannon is your hero.

Pretty much every Marine knows this story.

Marines look like soldiers, talk like sailors and slap the shit outta both of them, while getting tribute from the Airmen.
