Not sure what bugs these are anyone know?

These are jumping around on top of the little bit of water that is left in the pots of my flood and drain system. I know i have a fungus nat issues, are these larva from that or something else? Its the little white specks in there, i wsh i could post the vid i have.

Ok cool wasn't sure lol. Ive been having some root issues and wasn't sure if these where causing it or the fungus nats or both lol.

They could be fun gas knat larvae , it's hard to tell from the photo but if they are, then they are almost mature. If you ha e fun gas moats then it is highly possible.

I find it very easy to get rid of knats using growstone fungas gnat nix, just pour on top of the medium, slow down on the watering and add yellow sticky traps.

Like a charm. I had them once a year ago, and fixed the problem real fast. The fungus gnat mix works by stopping the cycle by not allowing the larvae to crawl out of the soil and adults from laying eggs on top of the soil.

Yellow sticky traps will keep trap of progress and help kill adults.

1 week, gone :)

Im in a eb&flow hydro setup tho not dirt, will it still work for a ponic system as well or is it meant for just dirt?

I have no clue. But looking thru this site it looks like there are plenty of people in ponic systemsthat have them not just dirt.

I have gnats,ive had em before and a pesticide usually kills them.but Ive been using hydrogen peroxide in my water to try kill em also ive read slices of potatoes in the soil attracts the larvae and then poisions them!!!!!
