Its my new favorite but the series is unfinished with only two books out of three so, that equal sadness. 1st in the series is Name of the Wind 2nd is wise mans fear 3rd will be doors of stone author is Patrick Rothfuss I also recommend
Blood Song by Anthony Ryan
and

The Way of Kings (1st book)
Words of Radiance (2nd book) by Brandon Sanderson (guy who finished the WOT after Jordan died)

but the Rothfuss books are the best by far

you probably have gone through this one, but, sword of truth series, terry goodkind. good stuff...

also, the taltos novels, steven brust. really good stuff!!

liked the margaret weis, tracy hickman novels with the sartans and patryns too, can't remember the name of the series though. into the labyrinth was one of the novels though...

Dragonlance wasn't it? I used to demolish the Weis/Hickman stuff when I was at school. Well, after school, waiting to go back to school, to AD&D at every spare second of the day. I was so...damned cool.

no, that was the other series they did. the series i'm talking about had a signature character named haplo....

just looked it up, it's the deathgate cycle. cool books, makes you think...
