It's the .9 and I only do 2 racks, sorry for the hella delayed response. Really busy and stressed :( The constant look for more outlets lol
You have extra med that need a home? We run a delivery service out in central cali, its bone dry for some quality oils... Willing to donate :)

Maaaan, I've done a few popcorn trim runs and none of it came close to how good these lopk. My first indoor crop will be done within the next week or so and going to do my first nug run when it's ready. I need one of these vac ovens baaaaad.

I use the .9 AI's, and I like them with four shelves in each one. Granted, there is a pretty big temp change from top to bottom, but I use that to my advantage since I change temps by small amounts throughout my purge process regardless..

Also, I went down to lowes and had them cut me custom 11"x11" squares out of some marble and some granite tiles. About 3/4" thick. Cost about ten bucks for four 'shelves' ;) and the thick marble or granite will hold temp much better than the standard racks, or even the solid ones for that matter.

what is the greatest difference in temps in the chamber

Well I tend to winterize almost everything I make, so I purge at higher temps.

For the across internationals(the ones I use in specific), they need to be set to 120°f for the bottom shelve to be about 115°f, then the second to the bottom is usually 113-114°f. Then the third is usually around 108-110°f and the top at around 103-105°f. The shelves will tend to 'bump' a few degrees towards the back of the oven as well. I turn my shelves around every chance I break the vacuum.

Yo Bomb! :) - I found that as well - regarding winterizing that it requires higher heat to purge. WIthout going to at least 110-115 it will never fully purge. Is this cuz of removal of waxes/fats it somehow wont purge on lower heat anymore? I mean... i can purge on lower heat at first...but then eventually it stops reacting and you can just tell its not done lol

Good to see you brother, Goalie! I decided to expand the forums I engage in, especially because there is a very interesting distillation thread here on rollitup.

Ethanol has a much higher boiling point that butane so it takes much more heat to fully purge. I feel that with the waxes gone, it is a bit easier for it to escape and evaporate off. Not sure though lol.

Yes the difference between shelves is a bit of a hassle, bit it is very predictable and doesn't jump around, so I just work it to my advantage since I use all of the temps presented at some point of a slabs life.

I have tried vaccing from when the evap is still a TINY bit liquid, and i've tried vaccing from when more liquid has evap'd naturally - but one thing i havent tried is trying the 110F from the very beginning, instead of waiting till it hardens up and i transfer to parchment. I wonder if this will reduce purging time because the water/ethanol will escape even faster while its still liquidy. Hrmmm.

That's what I do, just keep an eye on your vac pump oil. You will need to change it a lot more often. Try not to send too much etoh/water through it, or as little as possible.

Trying another run tomorrow. Last time it looked like it was going to be shatter around the 3hr mark. I thought that wasnt enough so i purged until the really small bubbles stopped moving and ended up with crumble again

Bro, last night i did an experiment. I had some shatter that i made that i KNEW was not 100% purged - id say probably 90% anyway - but i put the chamber at 115F and put the shatter in, no reaction to vac, took the lid off, and blasted it (gently) with a heat gun and brought it up to about 125-130F - only then did it react. Did that about 3 or 4 times with flips in between and finally purged the rest of the stuff out. Sucks that for winterizing you need to go so high heat.

Im about to give up. The oil started to crumble up before i even got a chance to pull vacuum.

Edit. Temp was about 105-107
