Not able to add tags to my threads

I've been having a problem with adding tags to threads that I've already posted. I get an error message and a link to let site admins know, which I've done once or twice to no avail. Glitch..? I've added tags to other people's threads before although it's been a while.

Any tips, am I missing something, or am I stuck only adding when I compose the thread only?
