5 weeks flowering not really sure when to cut them down any ideas?

depends on the type of effect you want, the sooner you cut it, the "sativiest" the high. I personally like to cut it when thrichomes because white-amber, so while they dry out and cure get a little more ambar and I get more body high.

I harvest when the trichs are mostly cloudy with some amber. Works for me and I concur with porrista

Which breeder is it from?
What does the breeders website say? Normally add a week or two to their estimates..
Do you have a scope to view trichomes? It's really the only way to be sure.
Are all of the pistils/hairs turned dark and curled up?
Has it stopped growing and putting on weight?
Normally NL Auto goes about 70-80 days from germination then it's ready..

Please post more pics. I want to see it better since it looks way nicer than the one I grew.

I got the 60x magnifier for $5-6 to to check when half trichomes turn amber. Its hard to take picture with it.
I am thinking of getting the one with camera 50-500X 2MP USB 8 LED Light Digital Microscope for $15-20 so that you can take pictures of trichomes.

I got exactly that micro and was taking some pics today. These pics are from a calyx from the main bud of my AK47, cut it on monday when they were mostly clear because I ran out of product and wanted to have a taste of the smoke. ( Already smoked it all ).



The rest of the plant is still there with still mostly clear trichomes ( and I'm getting impatient )



PS, the cheaper 100x + LED micro does work pretty well, but I couldn't get the batteries for it on time and also wanted to be able to take pics of the stuff.

I am not good with Tricromes. so confusing. looks like the first pic is from the top bud. I see half amber there.
Looks like you have another few days. I usually harvest top bud when its half amber half cloudy and then give another 3-5 days for the remaining plant.

if u dont mind me asking, what northern lights is it? every seed co has a nl strain , ive noticed almost all are different..i had a very nice uniform nl from nirvana, seedsmans nl was too sativa, nl#5 frombcbd was way to short, sensi nl was a really good one.. whats seed co has your favorite nl people??
