1. Visual Appeal: Rate the visual appeal of the buds from 1-10 unappealing-excellent.
9

Really crystally. Dense, thick but springy nugs. Indica all the way and smells kind of like a forest in a good way.

2. Visible Trichomes: Rate the visible trichome content from 1-10 none-totally covered.
8

3. Use an X to indicate the colors that are present in the trichome heads under magnification or list the percentages of each color for a more precise report.

Clear [ ] Cloudy [X] Amber [ ] Dark [ ]

4. Mark with X the colors that are present in the buds or for a more detailed color analysis rate presence on a scale 1-9 light-dark.

Brown [ ] Green [X] Gold [ ] Blue [ ] Grey [X] White [X] Red [ ] Rust [X] Orange [X] Purple [ ] Black [ ]

5. Bud density: [ 9 ] Rate the bud density from 1-10 airy-dense. For samples that are not in their natural state leave this field blank.

6. Use numbers 1-9 on descriptors that apply to the aroma of freshly broken bud where a one indicates a subtle presence and 9 indicates a pronounced presence.
Delete the existing space when marking a descriptor in order to maintain the columns in alignment.

Ammonia [ ] Earthy [X] Licorice [ ] Peach [ ] Berry [ ] Floral [ ] Mango [ ] Pepper [ ]
Blueberry [ ] Fruit [ ] Meat [ ] Petroleum [ ] Bubblegum [ ] Grape [ ]
Melon [ ] Pine [X] Cedar [ ] Grapefruit [ ] Menthol [ ]
Pineapple [ ] Cherry [ ] Grass/Hay [ ] Mint [ ] Rotten [ ] Chocolate [ ] Hash [ ]
Mold [ ] Skunk [ ] Citrus [ ] Iron/Rust [ ] Musk [X] Spice [X] Coconut [ ] Leather [ ] Nutmeg [ ] Strawberry [ ] Coffee [ ] Lemon [ ] Orange [ ] Vanilla [ ] It smells kind of like a PNW forest after a rain?

7. Aroma [7] Rate the aroma from 1-10 repulsive-delightful. Use freshly crumbled bud for best results.
The aroma is subtle, not really in-your-face like some strains. Since Northern Lights is desired for it's low flowering odor though, that could be a good thing for a lot of peeps! (Or if you don't want your buds to stink up the place too bad)

8. Seed content [0] Rate seed content from 0-10 none-fully seeded.

9. Weeks cured [6] If known enter the number of weeks your sample has been cured. If desired repeat SSR after an additional two weeks of curing.

PHYSICAL EXAMINATION COMMENTS:

Photo Aug 12, 1 12 17 AM.jpg

Really solid, chunky buds. Not rock-like density, but a solid chunk, tears apart like a rice krispy treat.

Fairly large calyxes.

Very crystally. Very light green calyxes (almost look white with the trichomes) with rusty-orange hairs.

FOLLOW UP QUESTIONS
==================================================
Address final questions immediately after effects have worn off.

1. Dosage [8] Enter the number of hits taken to reach desired effects.
Smoked a whole bowl :blsmoke:

2. Effect onset [7] Rate how quickly the effect hit from 1-10 immediate-major creeper.
Instant hit, but 10 min later - "Whoa, I'm really high" feeling

3. Sativa influence [2] Rate the sativa influence detected from 0-10 none-extreme. Sativa influence is best described as a clear and energetic mental effect.
Got me thinking... a little... I think...

4. Indica influence [10] Rate the indica influence detected from 0-10 none-extreme. Indica influence is best described as a sedative, lethargic or numbing effect that affects the body.
All Indica, all the way on this one.

5. Potency [8] Rate the potency of the sample from 0-10 none-devastating.
Typical Indica couch buzz. Great for pain/anxiety/relaxing/vegging.

6. Duration [1.5] Indicate the number of hours the effects lasted.

7. Tolerance build up [3] Rate how quickly tolerance builds from 0-10 none-rapid. Leave this field blank if you have not used this sample repeatedly.
Been on it a few weeks now, still working out well!

8. Usability [ ] Rate on a scale of 1-9 where a one indicates the worst time of day to consume this strain and a nine represents the ideal time of day.
Leave field(s) blank if you have not yet formed an opinion.

Morning - wake up [9] Day - work [9] Evening - relax [9] Night - sleep [9]
Never a bad time to smoke any weed, IMO :blsmoke: (Ok, maybe not if you're near a cop)
For the unseasoned, you may want to use this as a nightcap as it's strong.

9. Overall satisfaction [9] Rate your overall satisfaction from 1-10 poor-Holy Grail.

10. Ability and conditions [8] Rate your overall ability to judge from 1-10 low-high. Consider experience, strain familiarity, atmosphere, current tolerance and most importantly the condition and preparation of the sample.

I'm in WA, where I can smoke whatever. I tried a few over-the-counter specimens while I was growing these and in my opinion mine far more potent than the recreational ones I bought. I docked myself a couple points because since I grew it, I could be biased and not even know! lol

11.Judging from the sample alone do you personally consider this
strain a keeper for long term use. Yes [X] No [ ]
Super stable, hearty indica. I'm not keeping it personally, because I only grow 2 clones at a time and I want to try new stuff!

Here's a video I made of the 2 NL plants:

I live in Oregon and am doing an outdoor NL as I type..... how was your yield if I may ask?.... great job !!!!

No prob!

I got 84g off of 2 small (under 3') plants under a 400w HPS and some vertical t8s for supplemental blue light.

There was a third, bigger plant in there too (Dutch Treat), so they didn't get as much light as they could have. For their size I thought the yield was pretty good though!

Nice amount of herbs! sure is tasty. Really like the colors in your buds.
sure is nice growing and enjoying our own meds. in a legal state..... cheers!

The NL didn't stretch too much - I'd say 1.5-2x height. Seemed like an average indica.

Classic indica 'Xmas tree' shaped plants with half the bud on the main cola. I didn't try topping these but I bet they'd bush right out if you did.

You talking about cloners market in Seattle?

yes the cloners market in seattle. I use the mainline method of topping and was deciding how many tops to let it have. If it grows multi tops from on branch then its better for sea of green mainlining and you can top it less. If its more the single colas then they grow long and tight and I will top it one or two more times to create a bunch of fat colas. Looks like wonderful genetics with lots of trichomes.

Yeah that cut I got there was super frosty and they were very hearty plants.

I've grown out about 5 different clones from there and they've all been really decent

what strains did you get from the market? I also picked up the blueberry. I just grew Super lemon haze that I think had been picked up from the market and then a clone was taken and given to me.

First time, we got this NL and Dutch Treat
Then we did Bubbleberry, Grape Ape and Mendocino Purple Kush
Right now we are doing headband and... BLUEBERRY!

Lol, that's awesome you have the blueberry from there too. Mine's about day 44 of flowering - it got a lot taller than I would've thought for a mostly indica. Almost 50% taller than the Headband, I had to prop it up on a milk crate and a PS4 box to keep the canopy level, lol

The Blueberry I got from there looks super fire though, can't wait to try it out. I'll post a couple pics of it in a minute

Do you find the blueberry to be sensitive to nutrients?
Looking good btw, thanks for posting up pics of your blueberry.

....that headband looks like a keeper as well. That will take a week or two longer than the blueberry correct?

I haven't found it to be nearly as sensitive as people say. Maybe this is just an extra healthy cut?

I'm in soil (black gold + perlite) and I feed Fox Farm Big Bloom/Grow Big/Tiger Bloom and GH organic CalMag.

I think they have similar finish times, I plan on taking both of them about 70 days so I get that couch lock. Will harvest by trichs though. Going to leave a branch on each plant going until it nanners out, then I'm going to pollinate the two small cuts. I want to grow this blueberry again

Provided I can achieve some nanners on both, I plan on pollinating the main colas of the smaller cuttings with themselves so that I have fem seeds for the future, and if I have enough pollen, I'd like to try crossing them with each other on the lower branches just to see how those would turn out.
