So, finally getting the tent set up... For some personal reasons I cannot do a side-by-side comparison at this time of the Citizen 1825 80 + 90 CRI, which was my original plan in a 73 x 134cm tent (2x4ft), sorry Robincnn!
I will hopefully be able to do that in the coming months for people here. As this is my first grow, it may make sense for me to get some practice and experience and feedback from this community before doing that anyway, so it may all be for the best.

Here is the set-up:

Tent: ProBox 80 x 80cm (2.6 x 2.6ft)

Photon source: Northern Grow Lights - Photon 180 Citizen CLU1825 90CRI

Ventilation/Exhaust: 170CFM 100mm (4") exhaust and 1x blower fan

Grow medium & Nutrients: Unbranded blended and balanced soil, perlite, homemade worm castings (w/ crushed eggs & calcium from shells), Stump Tea Veg boost, Stump Tea mycorrhizae & bacteria blend, Roots Organics Uprising grow & BioBizz (Bio-grow, Bio-bloom & Bio-heaven). I may work on some inoculated biochar to add to the transplanted pots as well.

Genetics: Picked up some feminized seeds from a DC breeder. He said people are calling it lemon cookies or lemonade kush. I may come to a consensus on name after the grow...

I will be starting out in 1 liter pots. I have these 3 gal fabric/smart pots and I placed 6 of them in the tent to see about spacing. It's a bit tight. What do you all think? 6 pots? Reduce to 5 or 4? Get a different sized pot (I would actually prefer not to buy more pots)? 6 works if they fit. Just flower them at 1.5' high

Nice setup OP, are you planning on the single Photon? Those things are sexy as hell
Yeah this being my first run, I'm going to only be using the one Photon. I have another @ 80CRI, but mainly due to some current restrictions and issues (regarding the 2x4 tent), I cannot do a side-by-side comparison at this time. This was mainly for the people here and for Robin's sake (I like supporting startups and individuals). Sorry Robin, if you're reading this, I will however be able to do that in the coming months. Hopefully it will still be a relevant endeavor at that point (who knows if the COB LED tech will advance by then?).

But yeah, I must say, the light is really a solid build, the fans are silent (I'm more concerned about my exhaust fan noise), the dimmer feature is nice and you're right, the overall design as you put it is 'sexy.' ;)

lol yeah "sexy as hell" is how I used to refer to certain PC builds. I used to build custom gaming rigs, many very sexy if that was your thing.

But yes every time I see a Photon I smile, just nicely designed. Those fans are Noctua brand, maker of some of the best (and most expensive) fans and heatsinks in the industry. Using Noctua fans shows serious attention to detail..

Hey, kinda feel silly asking about this now. I don't recall going over much about this or seeing much on it, but how do most people set up the intake ports for air to be pulled in? I have one of the "sock" ports near the bottom that has the electrical wiring passing through which is open. The little screened square port with velcro mylar is right up against the wall in the back of the tent. What are people's solutions for this?

I use one of the lower intakes for my electrical too. Assume the 4" inline is pulling through that carbon filter, leaving you with a blower style fan that can fit an intake tube? The design should take light and airflow into consideration. 100% Intake from below is optimal, so remove the velcro cover on vent if it doesn't interfere with light cycles, and blow in from below. Reconfigure electrical as needed.

So you are saying I should get another fan for one of the intakes and make it an active intake not passive?

I was thinking more about blocking out light when I asked. The Velcro screen could be open I guess, though not sure how effective as it sits right up against the wall (light may become an issue there during flowering). There are 2 ports, one on each side near the bottom. I was thinking about getting a bit of black ducting and fit it through the outlets and just make a 90 degree angle and put a bug screen over the end (this was one solution I found in the limited info on the subject on Google). Then I got to thinking about using those two ports with some ducting or 4" PVC attached to HEPA filters so all air intake is filtered. Reduction in air flow would have to be taken into account, hence opting for 2? This may be excessive, though a possible good preventative measure for unwanted particulates, mold, spores, bacteria, etc.

Sorry I thought you already had one of those duct fans by your description. So you have the single 4" inline. The rectangular vent with cover removed could be enough to serve as a passive intake with a single Photon. Run a test all running, everything else closed with that vent unblocked, tent closed check temps. Perhaps you can insure an inch away from wall for the vent, that would allow airflow with minimal light leakage? Test that too, Photon off you in tent.

The ideas for using the intake vents are both dooable, but may be unnecessary. HEPA filtered air would be awesome, but that will quickly complicate things. If an indoor tent in closet not close to a ground level entry, pests will be far less a concern than imagined. I like the idea of a piece of dryer duct or similar bent in such a way to prevent light entering but to allow free passive air intake. Hope all that makes sense. You have a great little setup and have done well designing, you'll get it..!

Thank you Six9 for the thoughtful input and suggestions. I will experiment here today.

I started the germination process last night so will be hopefully adding some updates and getting back to the focus of this thread shortly...

Good luck, look forward to updates. Oh one thing on pests, mold, all the nasties. The more you keep your tent like a clean room, the better. Clean spills, don't let dirt/dust accumulate, circulate the air, have yourself clean, and always clean and change clothes if coming in outside during pest season

Update [09/10] - 2 seedlings have sprouted from the soil this morning. Two more are about to come up. 5 out of 6 had germinated and I set another out to germinate yesterday, hopefully by tonight or tomorrow. Light is currently set to roughly 75% luminosity @ 60cm (28") height from the rim of the pots.

Current RH is 71% (62% low ~ 79% high). Current temperature is 23.8ºC (75ºF) (72º low ~ 77º high).

I made a makeshift intake using some ducting bent at roughly 90º with a vacuum HEPA filter attached to end. With just this as intake the tent gets sucked in quite a bit so I opened the back vent in the tent a bit and that seemed to alleviate the bowing. I may make another one of these makeshift intakes for the other side and if I can find an adequate HEPA or air filter for the back vent, may attach one there too. QUESTION: Is the bowing of the tent a bad thing, even by a bit? The tent has 1.024m3 (36.16cu ft.). My exhaust fan is 170CFM. Using this calculator: http://botanical.com/hydro/air/calculating_fan_requirements.html I have come to the following:

36cu.ft. ÷ 3 = 12

Add 5% for the light = 0.6 + 12 = 12.6

Add 20% for the carbon filter = 2.52 + 12.6 = 15.12

Add 40% for the climate (hot and humid) = 6 + 15.12 = 21.12

21.12 minimum CFM. The HEPA filter reduces performance but by how much I cannot quantify.IMG_6192.jpgIMG_6195.jpgIMG_6196.jpgIMG_6197.jpg

Hey OP looking nice, super organized. Temps, humidity, circulation all sound great. The HEPA filter and black duct are great. The bowing you described (before opening the back vent) is negative static pressure, having that is a good thing because it's how smell is controlled. If the HEPA filter and/or single duct is not enough a passive intake (and excessive bowing is present), you'll need to do as you did with screened vent, or work another passive filtered duct.

Please feel free to use the lamps as needed. I am sure it is going to be an awesome grow.

Your setup looks great. Good luck.
Looking forward to seeing how 185 Watts Photon 180 Citizen CLU1825 90CRI works in that 6.76sqft tent.

This question is for Robincnn and well, anyone who has worked with this particular light. The rope ratchets along with the wires that connect to the light do not give me much room for raising as can hopefully be clearly seen in the picture. My tent is only 160cm (5'2") unfortunately and I may have to reconfigure how it is hung moving ahead, but I haven't figured out how to safely do that.IMG_6199.jpg
