NL x Big Bud. Is this normal?

I was going to say that you should also be careful with using an airpot and letting it get very dry because you can unintentionally overprune the roots and end up with like a quart or two of moist useable dirt ffor the roots. Try to water in a spiral from the outside -> in. It should also get another several inches on each branch tip with a cola. Initial pistil growth isnt the end of the plant's height by any means.
Too true, I have one that formed buds at approx. 15 inches it's now about 35 inches and still stretching
I don't know when it's going to stop but it will yield maybe 3+ oz's.

I chose to pop this seed because I wanted skunky buds. Let me tell you guys. I was gone for a few days and my filter wasn't attached to the fan. It smells like a pack of very pissed off skunks moved in here :) Very fragrant.

My plants got a little stressed. My friend watered them for me. Could have used more water, but they'll pull through. I think that the Fox Farms dries out quicker than the Roots Organic. My larger plant took the brunt of the abuse. This one looked pretty decent when I got home.

She is filling out nicely. I pinned down a few of the side branches to allow for better light coverage.

Looking good Sunny! you're going to have some awesome sticky
with that one.
Keep up the good work.
Sometimes a little dry out during flower helps the plant pump up
the resin to protect it from drying out.
It's more than likely the larger plant using more water than a difference
in soils.
Keep it green and growing.:weed:

I'm just experimenting. I don't have any health issues, knock on wood, but CBD strains are what got me interested in growing. I really don't enjoy high THC strains so I thought I might tolerate a 6% CBD 6% THC strain. I wanted to grow mild pot. I figured that I f I could still smoke and not get whacked that'd be fun. The first strain I finished was critical cure. I really didn't enjoy the buzz. I tried it once then gave most of it to very appreciative friends :)

One of my friends has seizures due to an accident. I'm hoping the CBD will help. I am also interested in treating MS and cancer. We had some success treating melanoma with co2 oil. That was pretty cool.

Sorry to hear about your son. MS is brutal. Does the CBD seem to help? Have you had your medicine tested to find the levels of cbd? Hopefully when this batch is finished I can find someone to donate to, locally.

Right now I'm giving him Shark Shock concentrate it helps a ton
with pain and spasms. I use it when I'm having trouble with neuropathy.
I have spinal cord damage (too many reasons to say) but 3 points of
contact with the cord, 2 surgeries later it's worse.
CBD Crew has a lot of good strains to work with, check them out.
You can play with the thc levels by not harvesting until the trich's
are all amber or nearly all.

This is 65-70 days old. I forget exact date I started her. I see no real signs of maturity. Seems like she could use another month to put on weight. Would you call those cloudy trichs? They look like sugar.

I think I'll basically let her almost rot in the pot :) She's only getting 12/12 though so I would expect a smaller yield and less weight.

How many days of flower do you think it takes to get amber trichs on the CBD plants? My last plant I never really got amber or I just harvested too early. Maybe I got impatient. I think she flowered for 80 days.

10 weeks is avg. for ripening to go to amber might take another 2 to 4.
Patients is tough, Right now the thc is peak so to count maturation days you count from first buds not just flower,
when the flowers start to stack on each other count 80 days from then.
Some strains won't go amber this is where the calendar comes in but NL I'm not sure of.
CBD strains are different you just harvest as regular as they have inherently low thc.

Now I see why they call this "Big Bud" .. It's not a huge plant, but the main cola is monstrous. I actually wouldn't mind a full tent of these things under 20 hrs of light. Since it's a short plant I wouldn't have to worry about penetration.. The side buds are beginning to add weight. I hope they keep growing.

Well, Here she is! I have been watching her closely. I did a partial harvest.
Why?
Orange pistils
No noticeable changes in growth
Cloudy trichs
80 days
So I guess she is done..

I just snipped the top cola because it looked finished while the lower buds seem like they could use 5 more days. She is 2 ounces, wet.
I just ordered a better scope so I will really be able to get a good look and pics of lower buds.

Do you think it looks a bit green? The leaves on this plant never yellowed. Maybe I had too much Nitrogen going in flower. Maybe it's just the genetics. Maybe I'm still learning. Either way, I'm sure it will go to good use :)

Maybe, but no harm if that top is any indicator, the result of too much n. is reduced
bud size so I don't think that's a problem.
Just let it dry for 5 or 6 days and put it in a jar, check it daily for "sweat" let it air
if it gets moist. Wait 2-3 weeks and enjoy. Make some cookies with the trim.
