Nirvana seeds are crap!!!

ok so im new on here w/ no rep points and most people are gonna think im full of shit but here it goes.

my cousin, not just some guy i know, bought beans from nirvana. Auroura to be exact. one of those plants ended up being this shitty, trich-less, gross, lemon wax smelling plant. it look and smelled nothing like the rest of them. i saw and smelled for myself, not something i heard or was told. anyways, we shrugged it off because the strain is a hybrid and we figured it just showed more of one parent or something like that. no biggie!

here is where i get pissed off. in October 2010, about a year after he bought his seeds, i ordered mine. i got white rhino and papaya. i got a pack of each femmed and two packs of each in regular seeds. i am 6 weeks into flowering all the plants that were seeds. no clones. and guess what plants have returned!!!! yes!!! i have 3 of those shitty ass lemon smelling garbage plants!!!!!! i had my cousin come look at them to see if they really were the same as his. i only seen his one time. and he confirmed they were identical. the plants are very pale green. barley have any trichs, look mostly if not full indica. dont grow dense at all. they grow tiny, fluffy, popcorn buds all over. his 1 and all 3 of mine hermmied also.

what i dont get is how can he get the exact same thing in his Auroura seeds that i did my White Rhino, when they arnt even crossed with the same strains??? i know nirvana sells cheap seeds, so u get what u pay for, but come on. thats grade A bullshit. they either are careless and mixed up seeds and thru some major coincidence we both ended up with them, or they intentionally sell crap mixed in with the good for some reason. personally, i think its a cheap femmed strain they throw in to help give their growers better luck with females in regular seed packs. especially if u only buy one pack of beans. kinda guarenteeing them a female or 2. this is only my opinion and its brought on my the 100% hermmied rate of the Lemon Pledge plants as we have come to dubb them.

i hope many others have had better luck with nirvana. i would like to hear if anyone else has found any of these plants in their nirvana beans. as for me, i will never order from them again. attitude seeds, you can thank Nirvana. you now own my business.

I've never had any problems with my Nirvana seeds. I have some blackjacks I'm cracking for my next grow. Have you contacted Nirvana Seeds about this? Maybe they can give you some insight, or hell, they might even send you some free seeds. It can't hurt to try.

I've never had a problem with Nirvana. I'm 1 month into growing White Widow and AK-48.

Sorry to hear about your experience.

once again.. Nirvana is alright IMO.

I've been ordering from them for the past two years.. and I too have never had any problems with them. Always got my order in a fairly quick manner.

You just happened to be one of the unfortunate people.. where something happened with your order. Shit happens man.. its called life.

Sounds like you need to read up on growing.. there are many different phenotypes out there. Just because you order the same exact strain

as someone else.. doesn't necessarily mean that yours are going to be EXACTLY like his... so once again, you need to learn more about growing

and genetics before you go bashing a seed bank.

Just my opinion.

Nirvana.. you guys rock!

peace.

did you read it carefully? we DIDNT order the same strain and im very aware of different phenos. the problem is that we ordered two diffrent strains, but both got a certain pheno. actually it seems like we both got a different strain mixed in with our strain we ordered. now explain how thats possible since im so uneducated. please

and how am i bashing when i clearly stated it was only my opinion.

Ever wonder why their seeds are cheaper than the other sites? You get what you pay for.

I personally will be going through Attitude on my next order.

I ordered White widow and N.L from them, got 3 different phenos of both, ALL of them Where Absolute junk.
I really thought 1 widow looked good during trimming, but it dried out and was just crap.
Not 1 of the 3 phenos of N.L resembles the northern Lights that I've had before. Granted, I got them on a wednesday special
so I got what I paid for, and delivery was great. I'm now finishing up some tga jack the ripper and the difference is Night and day.
seems like nirvana and attitude own this site, nirvana is the lower level seeds and attitude, the better ones for more money.
I've tried several times, through several sources, to buy advertising here. With no responce. Only those 2 banks can have ads here.
think about that.

so what does only two shops on here having ads mean? you just can't simply google marijuana seeds and come up with a list of about 50 different places to buy them from?? i know i didn't come to riu to find someone to buy beans from...

it means they control everything on this site. they lead you to believe it is a open site, most sites sell advertising. this place doesn't, but they'll tell you p.m so and so,but never respond to the p.m.s and then on one account. they just flat out banned me for supposedly spamming. You didn't come here for a place to buy beans, but if you needed some, you now know of 2 places to get them because it's on every thread here.

both companys do that. two fellow growers i know claimed Nirvana sent them the wrong orders. but went on to say they fixed it right away and for free. Attitude from what i hear makes u pay xtra for guarenteed delivery and such. so ill give nirvana that.

To the OP: Nirvana sells F2 beans if I remember correctly and cheaping out on seeds doesn't mean you can't find a winner or two in your 10 packs. The idea behind a pack of seeds is that you get at least one solid example of that strain so you can clone her indefinitely. Nirvana does have some variation in their beans but in the 8 strains or so that i've grown from them, I've always been able to find a few winners in each pack of seeds.

In all likelihood, you also found a few solid examples along with your lemon wax runts and that's the point of a pack of seeds. If you want more consistency out of your packs, don't buy from a discount breeder. Duh ;)

Nirvana seems to go beyond what it takes to be a good seed co, Fast discreet shipping and great products. I am on my 3rd grow from clones I took of Nirvana Full Moon and Jock Horror I am averaging about 8 to 10 oz per plant with 1400 watts. It gets tiring reading all these posts of people complaining about something with absolutely no details for anyone to form a decision or try to help. How do we know you didnt just throw your seeds in dirt from your mothers flower beds and pour miracle grow on them and expect a tree yielding 18 oz per harvest. please give some details other than my cousin looked at them and.....They were the exact same seeds as I got! It very well could be your methods you are using to grow. Yes I am a noob, but I have read and learned a lot on these forums. I just dont think its fair for someone to just start complaining with no details. The argument sounds a little like this:

I bought a new chevy pickup and the transmission went out after a week, therefore all Chevy pickups are crap. What you forgot to tell anyone is you jammed it into reverse on the freeway at 60 mph!

Please give details if you are going to complain so people actualy learn something rather than jumping to conclusions.

I have used Nirvana along with many others over the years and I would say they are a reputable seed breeder. There seeds are decent but not the best. I think there are better seeds available. Arjan's Greenhouse Seeds and Sweet Seeds (from Spain) have real nice seeds. I have also been impressed with Barney's seeds. Sweet seeds are a little more expensive but worth it. Pay for the seeds man, it makes a difference.

I agree with Uncle Rico dude, "If you want more consistency out of your packs, don't buy from a discount breeder".

Good luck bra. :leaf:

That's a great analogy Harry, good stuff.

I've heard that Nirvana's prices aren't cheap because their genetics are crap. Their prices are relatively cheap because they've been so successful breeding and effectively marketing their brand, through their shop in the Dam, their website, or print/online media (Hightimes/Skunk Mag., etc.).

I guess when you've been in the game as long as Nirvana has, people forget where you've come from.
It takes a lotta work breeding relatively original strains, and they would've been out of business years ago if their stuff was bunk.

The power of the free-market economy shows itself when companies don't provide the service(s)/product(s) that are expected; they eventually lose market share as customers go elsewhere, and eventually they go out of business.

I dunno, don't see Nirvana folding anytime soon....cause it seems others have had quite a bit of success with their strains.

:peace:

dude wtf are u talking about? i described the plants in detail. i never talked abything about yield ect. and my cousin didnt look at the seeds, he looked at the crappy lemon plants i had. confirming that they looked like the crappy ones he had.
what im tryin to understand is how he can order one strain, a year later i ordered a different strain. neither stains have the same genetic background, but both produced a plant ( the lemon crap) thats looks nothing like the rest of the plants from the same batch of seeds. are u tellin me that i should have white rhinos that smell like lemon?? and my cousin should have had a lemon smelling one in his auroura?? im talking about oddball plants, not what they yielded. im not disappointed with how their doin. im mad i got plants that arnt the strain i ordered mixed in with the ones i did. and for the record, i actually think nirvana sells some of the best feminised seeds!!!

I would never buy from them again, so I now know of at least 3 customers they have lost.
I grew the W.W. right alongside my JTR, everything being the same. I can't even smoke the W.W.
got over 4 zips of JTR off one plant and it sold out in one day at my buddies dispensary. they call the N.L chewbacca bud and put it out front at night, so if they get robbed, they hopefully will take the crap and not the good stuff.
