Nirvana Bubblelicious, let's be havin' ya.

Hey folks!

Time for my first grow journal, and my first grow in 5 years!

So it's a small closet grow, I'm starting with Nirvana Bubblelicious autos under a 300w dual spec cfl and reflector. Mylar sheeting, bio bloom light soil and nutes.

2 babies in paper towels today, waiting to pop. Watch this space for more details! And thanks for reading

Both girls popped their cherries overnight - WIHOO! They're in biobizz light now, no nutes as yet as they're autos. I'll give them a week or so and then will start adding some biobizz grow to their water. Will get some pics of my set-up later.

My girls broke ground overnight. Hello world!

Grr! Stupid timer went tits up overnight, didn't switch off. I unplugged it last night and plugged it back in this morning so instead of darkness from midnight to 6 it was 1 to 8.

This was taken yesterday, before the timer fuckup. They're still looking good though! First set of true leaves stretching through.

Time for an update....

Day 9 - Second set of true leaves starting to break through.
Day 10 - Added approx 60-70mls water to each pot, both were dry.
Day 11 - AM: Fed 10mls water to the base of each pot.
PM: Possible signs of phosphorus deficiency. Added 1/4ml Bio Grow to approx approx 150mls water and split
between both plants.
Day 12 - Signs of nute burn on 2nd true leaf. Flushed both pots. No new growth, plants stunted. Temp too high.
Day 16 - Added 0.25mls Alg-a-mic to 750mls water. Watered approx 300mls between 2 small pots. Added fan to grow.
PH down to water
Day 17 - FINALLY! New growth! Third set of leaves starting to come through.
Day 19 - Added 0.2mls Alg-a-mic to 500mls water. Watered approx 250mls between 2 small pots. Flushed fabric pots in
prep.
Day 20 - Roots appeared through small pots. Transplanted to fabric pots. Accidentally snapped one fan leaf (3rd set,
plant with least heat burn) Slight watering with yesterday's alg-a-mic water solution.

Harvested one last christmas ..... amazing plant and smoke! Had it in a 4x4 scrogged and under 950W combo HPS and LED. Happy growin yo

Nice. I can't wait to try it. A few months to go yet, assuming all works out! We've had a few hiccups but all seems to be going ok now.

I'm not half way through yet but but your BB already looks like a beast! Serious set up, and you're very sciencey compared to me. Proper order! I'm still such a noob.... Can't wait to get to the end!

My latest update:

Day 22 - Added a 24W Blue/Red LED to grow (freebie from Mars Hydro, thank you!!) 4th set of leaves coming
through. Trying to maintain temps, fluxuations from mid to high 20's, almost 30oC.
Day 23 - 4th set of leaves almost established. 5th set peeking through. Supporting leaves from existing nodes
starting to grow.
Day 24 - 500mls ph'd water between 2 plants, 0.5ml Alg-a-mic, 0.2ml BioGrow. Signs of heat stress in the girl
under CFL, raised light to 6in. LED raised to 12in.

Looking good cant wait to see her bush out
And thats just the little nerd hidden within coming out around the ladies lol

I fed the girls on Saturday, 750mls between them, 0.75mls Alg-a-mic and 0.5mls Biogrow. As you can see, they're getting nice and bushy, though one is smaller than the other. Overall they're quite small anyway but I attribute this to all the hiccups at the start - lost a week of growth thanks to heat stress.

About a week ago pre-flower started. I'm going to keep them in veg for another week or 2 to try and gain some height, then will flip unless I see signs of def.

ps: They STINK!

Haha thanks for the eyecandy n happy 4th ... btw theres some variation in the phenos of bubblicious. Different structure and also smell and taste. Mine smelled veryyyyyy sweet but more like fruity juice than bubble gum .... pic the one ya like the most and keep it (or consider it at least) as a mother for future clones

Yeah I've read that the phenos can differ, some say gum, some say diesel and dog shit Here's hoping I get the former, eh? No chance for clones though, these babies are autos. They just seemed the simplest choice to begin with. I also have dippy elsie and plemon from breeders boutique, along with 10 freebies from Nirvana - all are just straight seeds, no idea how many males/females I have. I'm thinking of scrogging them on my next grow - haven't tried it before but it doesn't look too difficult. Of course I may live to regret those words.... lol!

Lol no you wont. Scrogging is very easy. Let me know when ya need help with that
No dog shit lol .. hopefully all sorts of sweet goodness in your groom and autos would be a good way to start ... i know a few that would only grow autos. They say its easy n quick and we get to try many different strains very regularly hah ... happy growin

LOL! I'm actually checking out your diy scrog net now, it looks like a football net. Very tasty though, as is the grow! And that Bubblicious.... holy shit. I read through the grow on my phone but as I'm half blind, I couldn't really see the pics properly. On the laptop, very different story! In fact love the whole set up! When funds allow I hope to invest in a tent, proper lights, etc... Or I might get lucky and a rich relative I never knew will leave me oodles of cash. I'm adopted - it could happen! I'm so going to hell.....

Any more grows going or are you keeping things on the QT?

Sorry about your sight troubles .. and thanks ... if i was to do it over, ill make my nets 3"×3" instead of 2x2. This way the colas will have more room around them and better light penetration especially when dealing with bushy plants like the bubblicious i had. Otherwise make sure you trim and defoliate enough
Ya can upgrade your grow space slowly as ya go and this way you dont feel like youre broke before ya even have a harvest

I wasnt goin to have any more grows from one more year. But, because I want to have high CBD buds asap to make some meds for parents n grandparents, i decided to hve another run in about a month.
My plan is to grow 4 strains in that same 4x4 and under the scrog screen. The strains are trainwreck, ak48 (possibly switch it with sour diesel) blueberry (as my indica strain) and for the 4th and the CBD rich strain its between barneys farm critical cure vs cali connection CBD OG vs VCDC.
My only concern is their hight. Im afraid these will be too short n bushy for the 3 other strains goin under the same scrog net. Will see .. ill have to think about it for a lil

On no, not proper sight problems, I can see just fine but I do wear glasses. Initially for reading but nowadays thanks to more screen time, I have to wear them all day. Instead of getting my eyes tested last month, I spent the money on getting my set up going. "Half blind" is an Irish turn of phrase, it's not really meant in the literal sense. We also say we're half deaf! It doesn't mean we are..... yes, we're a weird bunch.

Hope everything's ok with parents & grandparents? And how very cool that you grow for them!!! I'm trying to get my mother to give it a go, it would so mellow her the fuck out! If I ever make edibles, I'm so going to slip her one. Hehehe... See that comment about hell earlier, that applies here too.

Re your strains, I don't have a clue! Truth be told, I haven't heard of half of them. But that doesn't matter coz you do! I would imagine though if there's going to be a significant difference in height, the shorter strain will get lost under the scrog unless you can dedicate a bulb (led/cfl?) to it that can be raised and lowered independently? It could "sit" on the net maybe? A single bulb on a lamp hanger could be threaded through the net too. Of course I could be talking out my ass, but it might also be a viable option.

Regardless of what the strains are, the way i see it is if i am growin some plants in that tent and will be caring for them for a few months then have enough meds or weed or what have ya to last me a year or so, id rather have different strains with different effects for different situations.
The one of the 4 strains will be high CBD and low THC for many reasons. I want the other three to be one that is a geavy hitting body stone indica so smoke at the end of a long day to relax, ease the pain anf tention and get ready for bed ... and one that is a sativa upbeat and active high for day time and getting stuff done as I am a very busy man with my average weekdays starting as eary as 6am and not ending til about 9pm. Then maybe a hybrid with both head high and body stone balanced with less hyperactivity n trippy effect
As for my parents and grandparents, its just the usual old people ailments (joint and muscle aches, anxiety high blood pressure and diabetes all of which will be improved with marijuana use) .... they dont know theyll be using MJ and thats where the high cbd low thc strain comes in handy (as lomg as i get the dosage right) ... i can also make topical meds for them that will help them tremendously!
I tried mj on my parents before lol (talk about goin to hell lol). Well my dad knew what it was and he was desperate for any relief as he was on the floor with kidney stones pain! An hour n 15 minutes after taking the cookie he was pain free. Another 30 minutes passed and he was on cloud 9 lol ... never seen my dad with such a huge smile on his face. It made my heart melt actually
Now my mom is the super anxious one lol. I got her some CBD caps before that had very little THC (3.5mg) before and they were good. Then one day i decided to give her two caps know that the 7mg thc are still low enough that she wont get that high ... long story short i was very wrong hahahahaha i didnt tell her what it was but my dad knew and he was laughin at her lol
Anyway the high cbd low thc helped a lot in calmin down hee nervs n helping her sleep at night not by making her sleepy but actually by making her less worried and shutting down all these racing thoughts that prevent her from falling asleep
