Do you have a LUX meter, or a PAR reader? If not, at least get yourself a cheapy LUX meter. You can get them for $15 or $20 on Amazon. It really helps with light placement and intensity.
I dont have one but im looking them up on amazon and ebay do you have any suggestions on a particular brand or make?

This is the one I got, and it works well
LUX Meter

Any of the inexpensive ones will work fine, for your needs.
Okay so i think im just going to order that one looks sufficient and is cheap. as of now though the clones are 3 days old and bottom of all cuts have tiny little white tenticles sticking out. I use a generic rooting powder its like $4 a bottle lasts forever works awesome. And the Ezcloner box with my manifold and pump is working a lot faster then the 27 gal tough box lol. So I dont know as its too much light but when the meter comes in the mail ill let ya know what the read out is under the clone lights and I'm interested to see under the veg amd the bloom room as well because i would like to test their lights to see how much they ajusted the specifications on the lights outputs. The ufo's I have are supposed to be 4200 lumens each, the 4ft fixture in the veg tent is supposed to be 3200 lumens so 11600lm/8sqft the 600w hps is supposed to be 85000 lumens and i have 4 ufos in there as well so 101800lm/9sqft and i have no idea on the small ones over the clones but I would really like to put the other lights to the test.

You'll like measuring the light in different areas! :)

Okay so after reading about an app i downloaded several lol tried them all with about the same accuracy and seems though manufactures claims on the ufo leds I have are fairly true at the height they suggest. Not a single app would read the full lux on the 600w hps which also gives me hope avg capacity being 30k lux some higher but i do believe i am good with the clones they are doing really well so I am going to say I'm good on those lights and everything else is coming along nicely. Also started mainlaining the veggers they have about 6 more weeks before they replace my bloomers and I may only need 2 of them by that point lol.

The lumen output on HIDs are kind of misleading. You might have an HPS rated at 95,000 lumens, but that's rated at about a foot away, which is too close for plants most of the time. The lumens drop off substantially every few inches. Getting the light as close to the canopy not only gives the tops of the plants as much intensity as possible, but it also means the leaves below, and underneath, are getting adequate light as well.

As far as your LED and clones, I just don't have any experience. But clones need much less than 30k. I only measure about 3500 lumens with my clones.

I would invest in a LUX meter instead of using your phone.

No you misread what I am saying i was only refering to the hps maxing out the apps sensor on the phone not the clone lights lol and those 2 lights are both designed for seedlings they are working awesome is what i was saying in the post and i fully expected the hps to max out the app sensor I still ordered the lifht meter you suggested i was just replying on the accuracy of the lux meter app just waiting for the meter to come in and i will compare the apps accuracy to the actual light meter and to the manufacturers claims to specifications on all my lights. As far as the lighting in my bloom room it is looking lovely in there will post pics at lights out :) and the veggers are doing awesome under the 4ft led fixture and the 2 ufo's and the ezcloner is doing amazing under the seedling lights I have up.

Sorry I know it has been a couple of days but i wanted to do a quick update from lights out last night 23days into flower. Ladies arw doing great very healthy color and texture getting really frosty already. 8 weeks is the basic schedule for this strain but going by the trichomes I think i will be at 9 or 10 weeks for this bloom cycle. Well hope you like the update. 0323181851c.jpg 0323181852a.jpg 0323181852f.jpg
