Question guys.......?

I see a lot of folks stuffing 4 COB's in the same size tent (almost, 2'x3') as my 20"x36" setup. Am I selling myself short running only 2 COB's in here? I just am so satisfied with the current growth rates, and can't imagine the heat if I did add another dual cob light in this smaller area.......

I'm subbed up because I have same size tent and have yet to decide between the t3-1400 or the t2-2100. 4 cobs seems like it could be overkill.

That's why I went with the T2 after some discussion with Tasty LED. I just see so many of the diy guys running four cobs in the same space.

Really looking forward to how yours turn out with the t2. How is the heat factor with the it?

Right now with just the clip on fan my temps are in the 80_85 F range and my humidity between 60-70%

I should have my carbon filter and exhaust fan here soon to mess with as the tent is starting to stink a little in a good way.

That's a generous amount of light for that space. Don't sweat it. Anybody running 4 cobs is probably not doing it at 2.1A in that space.

I agree with Mr. Gonzales.
I run 8 x CXB3590 over every 6 Sq feet but they are @700ma. I had more money than sense when I switch to COBs and was after maximum efficiency. 2 COBs @2100ma will be pumping out photons don't you worry. In a tent your bouncing photons off of the reflective surface of each four walls. In a few weeks your little gems will be sparkling and you will be happier than a dog with two wieners.

Cheers,
Will

Yes friend unfortunately I am ill been fighting the unknown for a year and a half now. All I can say to folks do not get any un necessary vaccinations. Will leave that there. Sitting here plugged in hopefully another hour or so and I can head home to start clearing an area for the new tent and get going setting it up.

On grow news, I received confirmation that my GG seeds have shipped and that I did make the pre order for some bewitched from Ocean Grown via lumber Jack. Exciting times for sure with these strains and the Bondi strains as well. Hopefully I can get onto something that takes my nerve pain and then a second strain for night time to help with insomnia.

:peace:

This gets me pumped up to run the same light in same size tent once the summer is over!

Best of luck, I'll be here watching.

My carbon filters and fans came in tonight, a day early so that's cool. Hopefully after my infusion tomorrow I can start clearing the area for the 2"x 4" tent and start getting the tent setup. Need an extension cord, timer, multiple outlet plug, and to decide what's going into it.

Not sure whether to move the (2) SIP's over into it, or to pop a new pack of beans, sex them in cups, then grow the fems and see what's what, or do an SOG type of grow with some of my auto fem seeds and finish these two plants in the current 20"x36"x60" tent, which if it's the case would need to flip 12/12 soon......... I do have a few options.

- Sunshine Day Dream
- Jawa Pie
- Gorilla Glue
- Assorted fem auto's; auto chemdog, incredible bulk, dark devil, fem AK auto, critical massassin auto, and auto pounder.

I just don't even know yet if the sativa is male or female thought it would have shown by now......

Hello Evil-Mobo,
If you're shopping for extension cords and multi outlets try to get a RCD (that is what they are called in the U.K.) residual current disruptor. If my memory serves me correctly they are called GFI (Ground fault indicator?) in the States. A little extra safety for a few dollars more.

Is it your intention to have a separate Veg area and flower area? What I have been doing is just leaving some autos in my veg area with my vegging photoperiod strains. I do not think the autos mind the 24 hours of light.

My net pots arrived yesterday so I should have everything I need to make my version of a SIP. I am debating with myself about using an airstone or not. I think my reservoirs will hold a lot less than what I have seen others here make. Do you use air stones in your SIPs?

Cheers,
Will

I am unsure yet whether or not to run a veg and flower tent or just run both tents start to finish independently. There are pros and cons to both and either way the autos will have a spot to grow.

I myself am not using an air stone. BUT, my res buckets for my SIP's are my Dwc five gallon buckets that bubble the water with an airline connected to the sight tube. So the water is being bubbled but via a different method is all. I already had these buckets on hand so just adapted them into my situation and they're working wonderfully. If this method interest you I can help explain more. You can buy the water farm kit and make your own rootspa type bucket.

Today's pic from the garden before I'm off for day 3 of 4 of infusions, plants look happy. I did defoliate the Sativa a little yesterday. Removed some leaves from down under to help prevent PM and for better air flow.

I am sure you will figure out how you want to run your tents in a way that suit your needs. That is part of the fun after all. To tinker is never to toil, when life you bring forth from the soil.
All the bits & bobs have arrived at mine to assemble my SIPs. I shall have a play this weekend. I am kinda leaning toward airstones. I understand the airspace between soil and reservoir is to help provide roots with oxygen. If the water itself is oxygenated then surely that must be even more beneficial. I keep fish and freshwater shrimp so airstones and pumps I have in abundance. I will experiment with and without. If I see no difference between the two I will do without air to keep things how I like them, Simple.
I will post some photos in the SIPs thread when I build them.

I hope you feel better soon Buddy.

Cheers,
Will

People have advised me against it but unless I get a third tent going which I think is way overkill for me a my personal medicinal use, it just makes more sense to veg in one spot and flower in the other. I can keep moms and clones in the veg and autos in either.............

Ok morning pic was around 9AM. I come home to check on the garden and find this o_O

IMG_20160506_170005.jpg

Am I the only one seeing this....?

Edit: Oh and I raised the light last night to leave the same 18" from the top of the canopy on the Sativa which is what has been working the best.
