Okay so I'm not growing where I live(about 4 hours away) and I was wondering if I can hang and dry my bud in a cabin that's low humidity and warm for a week unsupervised? I'd rather not bring it all the way back smelling like Jamaica. If not it looks like water cure is the only option.

Rough trim, jar it, and bring it home with you. It shouldn't mold in just a few hours from being sealed. Otherwise you risk a poor cure which would be a waste of your time growing it in the first place. Or let it dry there for 3-4 days and then bring it back to start the cure. I wouldn't advise it sitting there for two weeks to dry without cure.

I'm new to all of this, I thought that's what you needed for no mold?
You need to control the temps and humidity so you don't dry it so fully that the cure wont happen.

Also yes mold can be an issue if you don't have control.

Its not a hands free phase you have to be there and in control.

There is a section here where dry and cure has been covered extensively.

However, we live in the real world and if you have no option I would rather dry too much than mold.

Anyway hope it works out

Ginger viking had a good idea though

It wouldn't be alone for two weeks, depending on my work schedule I'll be there around a week later. Maybe 5 or 7 days later. I know most people don't like it but why can't I use a dehydrator to jump start the dry? And then cure it normally?

No. You should always be reading up on the next phase of your grow so by the time you get there you have at least a fundamental understanding.

Cure and dry is a pretty straight forward set of rules.
I appreciate you are at least thinking about ways around it but Im gonna
Recommend again that you stick to the
Basics.

I appreciate all the input. I might just water cure it to be honest. Seems like the best way without ruining the bud.
