Newbie question: applying nutes to soil

My liquid nutrients are mixed with x amount per gallon, as I suppose most are. Can I mix the nutrients required in a gallon of water, then use that gallon to water 4-5 plants? Or does each plant require a certain amount of the solution? Will the amount increase as the plant gets bigger? My plants will be grown in 3 gallon soil containers. Thanks ahead of time.

Yep just add X amount of each nute to the same gallon and mix thuroughly.

Make sure you PH after that to make sure your from about 5.5-6.5

Then feed straight out of the gallon if you want.

i pour mine in a cup becaues gallons tend to break up the top layer of soil too much because of the heavy water flow.

And yes you will need to increase them and change the ratio during flowering.

Hello again, budbro18! Thank you for the information and for including the video, too. I have his book as well. I just got my nutes yesterday, and there wasn't much information other than the feeding schedule and amounts to use.

I may mix just 1/2 gallon or less at first, since I'll only be fertilizing my seedlings after they have rooted. Does this sound good? I like your idea of using a cup instead of pouring from a gallon jug. Great idea.

I will get my LED light next week. The LED company, California LightWorks, has a program where you get their 400w light for 40% off if you are accepted. I was accepted, although I'm sure it's a way for them to get their light out there and evaluated. My requirement is to record my results, take photos and post every two weeks during the grow on a forum.

A week from today is my cardiologist appointment. I am starting to get pretty nervous, and it helps so much to keep moving forward on my grow. The seeds should be here soon. Then I'll be ready to go! If I need surgery, I'll have to wait until afterwards. At least I'll have everything I need and can start easily while I'm recovering.

Thanks again! I am 20 minutes into the video so far...

Thanks, bro. I got my seeds today! Now it's time to start setting up the closet. I think I will post photos of my closet as I move along so I can get suggestions, etc. Hopefully not too much criticism...
