What up folks. So I finally pieced everything together for my grow except for beans. My question is about the light hangers. They were picked up from Amazon but I'm not sure on how to hang them and if the way I've got it is safe. I don't want the hood falling on the ladies when they're up and running. Are the strings supposed to be that long? Hanging down to the floor?

Got it. Thanks guys. I really appreciate the help. Any ideas on putting the fan and filter outside the tent? And how to do it exactly??
You have quite a few options really. A google search will give you all the info you need with a little reading. BUT! Here are a few pics of some of the test tents I've got going and their exhaust set ups.

the two pics below are a COB test the air gets filtered and put back into the room since that light does not get all that hot.

below is a veg tent the filter in the top of the pic is connected to a fan outside the tent and connects to a large exhaust that vents outside. The light is on its own cooling exhaust.

And then here is a pic of a flower tent where the filter is connected to the light and then venting outside the tent.

There is no handle or bracket on the fan. Do I use those two bolts there for mounting? Should I just bolt it to a pc of wood or sumn?
Is there anything wrong with having the hood exhaust in a smokestack position?
How does the flow go fan > filter > hood >exit??
It seems there is see. No room for both filter and fan in there. . . I don'
Think my poor tent rails could hold any more weight the 20171130_111733.jpg 20171130_124039.jpg 20171130_111903.jpg 20171130_111824.jpg 20171130_111733.jpg 20171130_124039.jpg 20171130_111903.jpg 20171130_111824.jpg 20171130_111733.jpg 20171130_124039.jpg 20171130_111903.jpg 20171130_111824.jpg 20171130_111733.jpg 20171130_124039.jpg 20171130_111903.jpg 20171130_111824.jpg

Filter--ducting--cooltube--ducting--fan-- ducting to wherever you plan to exhaust.
From how it was explained to me.. that way the air is scrubbed immediately and doesn't stink if you accidentally get a hole somewhere along the ducting.

I presh8 all the help. Between work school my ol lady and the kids I barely get any free time. . . But it's coming along. . . Any idea what the triangle piece on the socket is there for?? No instructions in the socket and cord box but it look simple enough so I reckon it's good. . . Is there any particular reason the socket housing on hood is able to slide up and down and left and right??
