This is my first plant I've grown, it popped out of the dirt 18 days ago. humidity sits at 50%, temperature is always 72- 76. i used pro mix potting mix, transplanted 36 hours ago into a 4 gallon pot, only water with just water. she has two 42-watt cfl's cool white a foot away.

Should I add warm white during veg? Any pointers on when I should start my earth juice tea feeding? and also when should I drop the lights 2- 3" from the plant? Few picture to help, thanks.

If you like you can add Warm White not going to hurt more cool white in veg would be best in flower its good to have more warm but also a couple of cool for every

Veg: all cool white
Flower Every 2 lights warm and 1 cool

I highly recommend more lighting if your going to run them in 4 Gallon pots

Any pointers on when I should start my earth juice tea feeding?
Most will say wait till the 6 set of nodes i start mine after 2 sets of true leaves always start only 1/4 strength what they recommend then build it up

and also when should I drop the lights 2- 3" from the plant?
The closer you move them to the light the better growth rate you will have just remember some plants can grow a 1-2 inchs in 24 hours so just be mindful of that

Apart from that your doing a great job she looks very healthy and very happy

Thanks a lot for the awesome response. Few things.

I put it in the 4 gallon pot but am aiming at vegging only 2 weeks, trying to keep it short with a trellis over head (still need to learn). I picked up a copy of the bible and basically going off that. Said to keep cfl's 12- 18" from seedlings. You believe my plant is ready for the light to be right on top? I should be able to keep 76 degrees no problem.

Your welcome mate

4 gallon pot and vegging only 2 weeks = waste of space soil water and all that fun stuff one will need to note the roots will not grow that much once your in full flower mode

Yes they keep growing and its good to have space so you don't become root bound but the odd of that happening with a short veg are low
One thing i have noticed with doing a larger pot with limited veg time the plants

I find become more stretchy in flower and node spacing is very spaced If your using a Root booster you might be fine something like
canna rhizotonic as that makes the roots go nuts

Yes once you start seedlings off you want to keep the light away as you don't want to freak them out but once you have your first couple of sets of true leaves
can lower the light as they become light PIGS! using White light or lets say Metal halide will keep the node spacing closer
under a Warm light or HPS will give you longer node spacing

if your height is limited you want to make sure you flip your plant when your at 50% of your max as most strains will grow double in size and if this is the first time growing this strain your not going to be sure how much she will stretch just remember you can always do some (LST AKA Low Stress Training)

It's a great way to start learning how to train your plant to bring out the most of your stain in limited space i would recommend doing all your training in veg

As this if your first grow and by the looks of things your doing well plant looks happy and healthy love your plant and she will reward you

All the best with grow keep us posted and if you need anymore help just ask and everyone will help but things to note

Things not to ask ...well you can! but only if you want the trolls to go nuts!
1) How much will i yield..
as a newbie what ever your total number of watts is you will most likely get 0.4 grams per watt
could be less could be more this is why its imposable for anyone to tell you

Is my plant ready...
Trolls will tell you 2 weeks every time! best way to tell is get yourself a 50X Magnifying Glass Jeweler Loupe they are cheap EBAY - Amazon pick one up for $5
http://www.growweedeasy.com/harvest That link will really help!

Sounds like easy things to ask but yes you will get smart asses

Things to keep a eye on when you start your nutrients once you see small burns on the tip of the plant that is your max at that point in time off the plant so lower your feeding by 10-15%

One thing i think everyone should do is test your run off at least once a week the PH or EC higher then what your feeding it make sure you flush or just on the next feed drop your level to 25-50% till your run off is the same as the level you want

Sorry for all the info growing is all about having fun but will never no it all so just keep reading and learning all the best with the grow keep me posted would love to see how she turns out!

You want good advice? You need a whole lot more light. 2x42 watt CFL just aint gonna give you any kind of yield.

Once that plant has the light it needs, then you will start seeing some magic happen, otherwise be prepared for shit results.

Thanks a lot Dirtynerd. No worries man, love as much good info you can give.

Read in the bible that a 3 month plant should have a 5 gallon plant. What would you use for a 3 month plant?

No limit on height, but there is a limit on light. I will probably add about 300 watts of cfl bulbs. 6 bulbs total for flowering.

This is my first plant I've grown so I'm more just trying to learn everything i can and do it a lot better next time.

I am trying to do a scrog. I am doing a bit different tho then regular way. I'm not going to top or prune this plant at all. There's a picture. Already have the net just touching the tops leafs. I'm hoping it will work with the quick veg?

Yea that's exactly why I'm doing it right now, just for fun, new hobby, learn something new. Maybe set up a future career when i get my own place :)

You might want to take the cardboard Xbox box out of there. Cardboard absorbs moisture and humidity, and can quickly lead to mold. If anything, wrap the box in saran wrap before deploying it as a stand.
