hi, have got six plants, my very first grow, four are supposed to be Green o matic, and three of those seem to be in flower. The other two were freebeis from Herbies; Hawiian Skunk Haze and something called blue something (cant remember) niether of the freebies are flowering, see pics..are they males??? i dont know enough to tell. I've included some pics to show the freebies and the Green O.

They've all been outside in a greenhouse for three months, with just water and a little light manure added to the top of the soil about four weekes ago. Each plant is about 4/5 feet high now. SAM_2887.JPG SAM_2888.JPG

Lastly, the Green O is clearly flowering, and has been for about 7-10 days but when should i harvest?

sorry for some pretty obviouse Qs but i am a complete novice.

couldn't tell you for sure if that's a male or not, but I can tell you that your other one flowered early (assuming they are ruderalis, from the "matic" part of the name)
the others are probably normal plants, and are waiting for the days to shorten to flower.
I'd be watching the one non-flowering green o matic....
and judging by that pic the green o matic has been flowering for well over 7-10 days, like closer to a month or so, at least.
I don't grow automatic strains... I prefer the perpetual harvest, veg room with mothers, clones etc... just me though.

they are not males from what I can see yet. Some strains flower at different times then others. PATIENTS is a key to growing don't be quick to harvest that plant your not anywhere near that stage yet. Because your new when you think its time to harvest wait 10 days or 2 weeks. The real weight picks up at the end with density. As for those other plants they will not start to bloom for a month or so depending on their strain. So be patient be happy you will have some smoke before the rest are ready.

thanks all for the replies, i'll practice patience and hopefully reap the rewards. Will the HSH start to put on more flowers then??

Idk about more flowers, but the flowers should swell. I have 2 HSH going right now too. I think the other one you speak of is Strawberry Blue. I just threw a SB in the ground yesterday. Hope you get all females. Good luck

What latitude are you located at? They are not autos. They should start flowering natural in the next month or so on their own due to the daylight hours decreasing. Do you have a short season? You can always light deprive them by covering them with a blackout material to make for 12 hr of darkness. that will trigger flowering. but you must do it every day without fail.

thank you FresnoFarmer for all your help,
Happygirl, have your not flowered yet then? let me know when they do! the HSH is not putting on some more flowers, and the little stem things coming out of the flowers are growing amber coloured, is that normal,? aso the plants have started to smell bad, not like cannabis at all, kind of rank, will that pass?

I might b wrong but im sure the strawberry blue doesnt have an autoflower line so most likely you just have normal plants waiting to flower at the right time

Strawberry Blue is a photoperiod plant. I've got a few now and they're my fastest growers out of all the different plants. I can't wait to see what the buds looks like. I also have a few HSH going right now. One is over 5ft and another right beside it is half the size and really bushy. If you work out your issues, I think you'll be happy with their growth.

yes the HSH and the Blue are huge, r.e. the non-auto flowering of HSH and Strawberry blue, i guess its a case of just waiting till it flowers...i dont have do anything to make that happen do i?

yep, they do come up fast, and keep going!

the HSH flowers are now going brown, or at least the stamen bits of them...and the big leaves around the flowers are very pale...should i harvest now??

I am having a hard time picturing it. Are the pistils (hairs) on the buds orange? Usually you want to use a pocket microscope to check trichomes. How long it been flowering?
