Ok so this is my first tme growing or posting so I'm hoping I can rely on guidance from some more experienced growers. My set up is a 2x2x6ft space. Flat wht coated. My box has 8 1 inch holes on the bottom for a passive intake. My exhaust is a regular 4 inch fan inserted into a round 4 inch cut out on the oposite wall of the exhaust. My container is a 5 gal square bucket with small holes drilled in sides and bottom. Grow medium is FF OF, I have attitude AK47 Auto seeds. I'm growing 1 plant 2 start with 6- 5000k and 6 6500k cfls on adjustable rails and overhead. My nutes will be Bloom and Tiger. Is my set up sufficient? I would like to know before I germinate anything2014-04-19 17.34.11.jpg 2014-04-19 17.34.11.jpg

I gotta hand it to you, this is a great stealth cfl setup. There's good vertical space, you aren't overcrowding it with multiple plants, you have a good amount of cfls in there for one plant, etc. The only thing, however, is that a lot of people say FF OF is a little too hot to start seedlings in, they tend to get nute burn a bit. If you start them in a seed-starter soil then transplant after a couple of weeks, that might work better. Also, the exhaust is best towards the top of the cab since heat rises and you want airflow going through the whole space. But cfls stay pretty cool so you're good. Are you going to be journaling this? If so, I'll pull up a seat.

WOW I had to edit this to fix like six typos. wtf

The exhaust is at the top, I didn't mention that. If I don't use FF OF what soil should I use. I will be keeping a journal. Typos? Lol. What can I say, I'm already faded....

I don't want to transplant because most people say it stunt autos, attitude site says don't transplant them also.

Uhm.... well, whatever you use should be organic since FF OF is. xD You should be able to find an organic potting soil in a bag locally.

Ahhhh yeah, sorry didn't see the auto part. Well I guess you could start them in rock wool cubes for a week, then just bury the rockwool in the FF since it's hardly a transplant. Or just start straight in the FF, the nute burn might not be too bad.

Im gonna go with the FF.since I have it already. This is a test grow to see what me abilities are. if this goes well Im moving up to 6 plants in a 5x5 with a 1000k hps set up.

I started germinating my seed. Papertowel method. I did a 24 hr run of my room. Temp is a consistent 76 degrees with 34 % humidity.

Seed popped sometime during the day. Check it at 4 pm and it was cracked and I could see the root. I prepped my soil and watered it, and let it drain. Came back at 9pm ckecked seed. Root was quater inch long. EXCITED! Made a hole about quater inch deep and using sterile tweezers placed seedling in hole. Lightly coverevd with soil. Placed saran wrap over the top and have 2 5000k and 2 6500k about 6 inches away. Temp is 75 degrees and humidity is at 34%. Hoping the saran wrap raise the humidity. My plan is to let it grow for 3 days with no water and leaving wrap on unless it reaches the wrap b4 then.

9pm check up. My baby girl is emerging from the soil. I removed saran wrap and went to full lights. 6 5000k and 5 6500k. About 8 inches away. Temp is 84 and humidity is 28.

My baby girl is about an inch tall now. Had to spray her twice today with water. My temp is running very high. Topped out at 92 today with humidity at 23%. May have to add more intake holes.but she looks healthy and vibrant.
