Well with 3 reg Panama I got a green, red and a pink one, most likely get red-purple or pink ones but hope for a green cause it kicks ass and had solid buds and really good mould resistance. Takes serious rainfall for them to get budrot.
Taskenti will be awesome! sweet fragrance/perfume lemon hashplant and stretches 2x from giant indica genes, the longer you leave it the more complex the high will be, almost like a mild acid trip in some ways. Hard to explain.

Yeah the BD13 x OE on paper will go extremely well in NZ climates, the Black domina x g13 by itself is pure fire - stronger than cotton candy.
Yeah man popped 11(that pic I posted before is them). Decided I'm going to use the Malawi spot again from this year and just do a patch of 7 or so plants. Shit I wonder if the Panama revegged lol, I left a few leaves on them this year.

Your grow is going to be the best one on here I reckon.
Sweet well see then I guess! Yeah Im really looking forward to a nice pure indica it sounds like really nice bud. Did your taskenti smoke up algood?

Shit man I wanna pop some of those BD13 x OE now lol You doing any other strains this year? You should chuck a couple of late Panama DC clones out :) Would be funny if you Panama re vegged.
Did your Malawi smoke nicely with a cure? Thanks mate cant wait.

Oderings have it a little bit cheaper http://www.oderings.co.nz/Shop/Oderings-Gardening-Accessories/organic-garden-natural-care/Oderings-love-use-neem-granules-often-natural-__I.11162__N.84__C.10483
Don't forget tardme if you're after a big sack.

Been hunting for rock dust for ages. "Rok Solid" looks like the only product I can find in NZ - unfortunately it has kelp and fish with it, but it is a NZ source of basalt dust. Big benefits of rock dust are the full range of micro nutrients in an organic garden system. Also increases soil CEC level - increased surface area, and helps bacteria better absorb and cling to food, reducing nutrient losses via run off. Here it is on auction for $18 excluding shipping: http://www.trademe.co.nz/home-living/outdoor-garden-conservatory/watering-spraying/auction-789847707.htm

Rated at something like 0.15-0.8-1.4 - fuck all, lol. Who knows how available it's going to be. Seems to be marketed more towards the market gardener. It's Biogrow certified.
Wallys sell this repackaged into a jar for $14/kg, I bought the Agrissentials 5kg bag for about $20.

Dark and heavy, shouldn't be windblown if you top dress then water a little. I'm just wanting it for the basalt, not the fertilisers - hope it isn't too strong and fucks with the rest of the my input. Running some through the compost and added a little haphazardly to the rest of the garden. Top dressed some girls a month into flower with a half tablspoon each.
Yeah at Greentrading you can get a 5kg bag for $35, also their method of extracting neem from the kernals is far better using the 'cold' extraction method so it doesn't lose all the good properties from the neem tree. I can't believe I haven't been using this previously, the amount of stuff it does to the soil is amazing. Really not keen on vine hoppers this year, they're so hard to get rid of completely.

I usually buy organic nutrients from ebay or amazon, I'm just gonna buy Mexican Bat guano for my main veg nute supply. pretty cheap for a 5lb bag on amazon, fully organic is the only way for me outside. going to use Earth Juice's Volcano Bat' guano for flower too, Earth Juice is my favourite organic company.

What're you gonna grow this year?.

My biggest problem is harvesting and the roar/hunting which collides like a motherfucker.

Yeah whatever pheno you get will be awesome. Taskenti is amazing, so so much nicer than dutch hybrid indicas and unique - smokes up really nice straight after harvest with no harshness and so smooth it feels like you're inhaling vapour.

You should grow one or 2 this season, the potential is good. BD 13 by itself is really potent. probably just do Black Domina G13 cuts out mid-late november and maybe a Cotton Candy, not going to do to much again this year but will hit it hard next year when I'm in a better location.
Wish I could do PDC this year, one of the best indica and sativa lines in one!. Hopefully it did reveg!. Yeah the Malawi is only just coming into it's own now, completely different smell.

I grow indoor with a small odour free strain from Mandala Seeds. Currently flowering with a small DIY led light that is running all of about about 25W, lol (if I turn it up higher it starts bleaching the damn plants). These new generation leds are the shit - build them yourself and you'll be amazed at what comes out. The led forum here on RIU is highly recommended - the best information online analysing different emitters and efficiency that there is. Costs Kiwis more with the shipping as all the parts need to come in from USA, but totally worth it. Youship is awesome.

So glad I ditched the fluro lights. I used to have 252W of CFL lights, now I've got one 25W Bridgelux vero led. It's insane. Always wanted to grow outdoor - such a waste running lights when the bloody sun is up there for free.

I hear you on the guano. Really tough to source that stuff here. There are some sacks of guano pellets on trademe pretty cheap, but pretty limited in nute profiles.

I've been intending to pick up a couple of things internationally that I can't find here:
The first is Agsil 16H - potassium silicate http://www.kisorganics.com/products/shop/agsil-16h-potassium-silicate . It makes a plant available liquid silica with big benefits to cell walls and stems - diluted and repackaged as Rhino Skin and all that crap. Can't find it locally - seems like the sort of thing that should be popular in the horticulture industry, but I guess not.

The second is a small sack of myco like http://www.kisorganics.com/products/shop/mykos-mycorrhiza - but I'm not sure on how fungi innoculants are effected by import regulations. Does anyone know if this is problematic to bring in?

Sounds really good man. What Taskenti phenos are their? If I can be f'd I might put a couple of extra plants out, its just the hole digging that gets me :) Nice just an easy grow this year ha?
Do a mean green house grow next year haha Yeah Im really looking forward to the PDC, i reckon itl be potent I hope your one arrives safely mate. The PDC seedling is one of the best and most vigorous out of all my little plants so far. You still have some Malawi? Never saw any bud pics of that one you should throw a few up.

I made some guano tea for my outdoor plant on sunday and brewed it up nd fed her today. The tea is such a nice dark color, and doesn't really smell which is good. I made a transition tea which is
1 TBSP/GAL Jamaican and 1 TBSP/GAL of All purpose with a TBSP/GAL of molasses. Made 9 litres so well see how this stuff does :)

Looks like the stretch is finally over and shes flowering? What do you guys reckon. Im suspicious that a couple of the lower branches may be about to put out a couple of balls but the rest of the plant is fine. Guess you can expect that while working Against the season lol

Maybe a week into proper flowering or less?

I've seen so many good things about the newer LED chips. Are you able to share where you purchase those from? How much harder to wire it all up than a bunch of battenholders screwed onto a piece of wood?

Hey kiwi hows it goin? What method do you feed with guano ? I had alot of plants run out of nutes in flower last year , so need to feed more.

However I did use about 250kg of dynamic lifter for 22 plants this year haha so should be right
Looking to be a good year , just started cracking my seeds , thought id start a month later as they got a bit bigger than I bargained for last year
Iv got 5x oldtimers haze ,5 panamas ,5 malawi and 5 golden tiger

Easier to wire up than battenholders, fo sho. You'll pinch yourself its so simple.
This thread https://www.rollitup.org/t/diy-leds-how-to-power-them.801554/ is probably the best place to start, heaps of good examples being posted. Any post by SupraSSL or MrFlux is golden.

Buy the cob chips from Newark, Mouser, Digikey etc. Check pricing and delivery - the Bridgelux Vero I bought were listed at $60+ by NZ distributor, but $17USD in the US.

Drivers are available on ebay (cheap n nasty $8 each), fasttech or satisled (cheap n nasty $8 ) or get decent MeanWell ones from a US supplier for $25-35USD each(NZ meanwell supplier had a 500% markup again). I bought from the US and used a reshipping service to get to NZ - cost an extra $35 iirc. MeanWell retailers show up on google easily.

CPU coolers make the best option for cooling in my estimation. I went for a big plate heatsink and it's just not so good.

My general thoughts on emitter choices:
CXA are a little more efficient, Vero are a lot cheaper. Drivers are the biggest cost no matter what you go for. Better to run more emitters softer - efficiency mostly comes down to running em nice and soft - under nominal current probably.
Vero come ready to screw down and there is a $1 molex connecter plug for them so you can build a whole light without soldering.
Ignore the "red light for flowering" bullshit that's been spouted as fact for years - the science simply doesn't stack up, and in testing the bluer-whites do much better than the redder-whites. Bluer LEDs get better penetration, grow more resin and give you shorter internodes. I'm planning on replacing my 3000k and 3500k Vero with simple 4000k. My 3000k is almost unusable on it's own.

Yeah Leds are pretty good, I can get the same results by replacing a 600 MH with my 180w led.

Na don't buy low quality bat guanos from NZ, I buy mine from amazon and is problem free, I recommend Sunleaves or Earth Juice bat guanos. I'm gonna buy the Sunleaves Mexicn bat guano(10-2-1).

Got a couple bags of this too.

Pretty sure 9/10 are the lemon perfume hashplant and their is one sativa-ish pheno.
The hole digging can be cunty haha. Yeah just a patch or two consisting of 6 or so BD13 x OE, another couple of seedlings popped up lol. I have 12 now and some look like they have some of the fattest leaves!. Probably use the Malawi spot again for one because it gets sun from dawn till late afternoon. Yeah I want to get a green house if I move to a more private location. The PDC will kick ass, the power of pure f1 hybrid. I hope to get a Deep Chunk pheno, one of the best indicas on the planet apparently. Yeah I'll take a pic of some bud curing.
Temperatures look to be going to 20 from sunday onwards with perfect weather.

Shit I think it's nearly time to start a new thread!.

hey good mate, pretty new to the guano but for guerilla I'll probably mix in a little bit with the soil mix to start off with then just top dress as they need it through the season. If I had access to my plants. say in my backyard I'd make a tea like what Letstrip did.

haha your plants will be bloody massive with those genetics! man you've got some of the best sativa strains ever! so jealous.
Please keep us updated, the old timers haze will be epic and will take a long long time to flower, isn't it like a 20+ week flowering strain?.

Yeah same for where I live, only 8km away from the ocean. No frosts last year and only a few proper ones this year. Seen a few journals where the old timers haze handles cold extremely well. Do you get many bug infestations over there? I get vine hoppers bad where I am so I'm using neem granules/oil to keep them away.

I had a few termites munching through stems and completely killing plants but not at the spots iv used this year , and about 3 catapillars but pretty clear for bugs.
the biggest problem iv had is mold from all the rain at flower time , but I think the plants running out of nutrients made the mold alot worse as smaller plants didnt suffer much mold ,
Thats why I v picked the most mold proof strains I know of .

Sweet that sounds pretty nice keen for some Taskenti smoke. I wonder how those BD13 x OE will grow outdoors. Did you get the seeds alright man? The PDC already looks like one of the best out of the seedlings. One of my LSD's didn't germinate so Ill probably start a cotton candy tonight. Good weather up their? Were getting 20's down here now to, supposed to be 23 on Thursday.

Must be time for that new thread is it or use this one that weebz made? https://www.rollitup.org/t/nz-2014-15-outdoor-questions-your-journals.845934/#post-10966099

Yeah taskenti is something special man, you'll love it. They look pretty good and vigorous so far, gonna dig a patch for some of them this weekend.
Awesome, the cotton candy is definitely worth it - I'm gonna put a couple cotton candy singles out so it'll be good to see what pheno you get. I think I might have the sweet musky one(mother is growing inside atm) which is my favourite pheno so far, old school chunky sativa buds.
The weather's been algood this last week, seeds are taking off now and the sun is burning! almost 1200 watt per m2 today!, getting 18-21 day temps at the moment. UV getting to around 6 or 7. Apparently Blenheim was 27 today! must be a some kind of record for October.

Yeah probably just use that one.

Here's some Malawi bud shots cured, sorry bout bad photos cause my camera was dead.
