New Wisconsin voter ID Law

A drivers license or state ID isnt good enough. You also have to show proof of residency. So if you moved and havent updated your License or State ID you cant vote. And it take over a month to get a State ID or a New License since they process them in California now

Had the same shit when I lived in GA. I also had to show proof of residency and proof of citizenship to renew my medical license that I had renewed with no issues the last 10 years. I couldn't believe the amount of hoops I had to jump through.

Same with the length of time for the ID but you get a temporary one while standing that there is good for 30 days.

I travel so I am licensed in a few different states. Arizona needed two letters of colleagues proving I am who I say I am, Kentucky makes me take the same 4 hr Aids class every 2 years. Kansas pretty much said welcome aboard can we get you coffee with that?

It's not very uniform, that's for sure.

I have absolutely NO problem with requiring proof of residency and or citizenship for voting.

Seems fucking stupid NOT to mandate it, considering the amount of illegal aliens we have residing in our nation.

In California we have voter registration. If you move, you are no longer registered to vote.

What is the difference?

Same here, I just renewed my oregon license and they gave me a temporary on the spot and sent me the real one in about two weeks or less. For the life of me I can not figure out why the Dems don't seem to respect america enough to care about who has the right to vote legally. I will show what ever it takes to vote and feel pretty dam good about it.

Hey Chesus there is time before the election for all of Wisconsin to get there papers in order. There is 38 days left until Nov 4th, thanks for letting them know ahead of time so there vote will count on what is known to me as [ national boot in the ass day].

The vote system is fraudulent in that it is not a measure of all the possible alternatives.

If somebody says that you can vote to shit on the floor at Wendy's or vote to shit in your pants, you are not "free" because these alternatives have been presented. The option to not shit at all or to shit in a more traditional fashion should be present.

As an INDIVIDUAL a free person must first have the option of not automatically being encompassed by the will of others, therefore a democratic vote is just a form of enslaving people by making them think they have exercised a real "choice".

Voting for one of two pre-determined asswipes is not a real good way to advance freedom.

The real answer to the question not asked....

The act of voting itself suppresses individual freedom.

I am all for ID for voting. Not sure I agree with some of the "hoops" but ID for voting isn't asking very much at all.
It always makes me wonder why anyone would be against voter ID.

I agree with one caveat. If a state is going to require ID, they should pay for each person's first ID.

I don't understand how requiring ID is suppressing the vote. I wonder how many adults are without ID, and out of those, how many vote? And why is this partisan?
