New to growing, help with room setup.

Hi.

Im planing on getting a 6.5 x 6.5 x 6.5 tent, with 2kw bare bulbs in the center, with 8 plants in a donet, 5gal air pots in coco with blumats.
Im wondering what strain to get, i have a 400w led that will be used for veg, outside the tent, while flowering inside.

Will the 400w led be enuf(10-12 weeks) to put the plants directly to flower in the tent? Im guessing i will have to veg quite a bit, to put the entire space to god use, with only 8 plants?

Any inputs on what strain to get? Im guessing a sativa 60/40-90/10 dominated strain would be the best for my setup?

Is there a better way to set up my room? Keep in mind that there is important for my to keep plant numbers down.

Any Advice/guidance to a newbie, would be greatly appreciated!

Just about any strain should do, but for the purposes of filling out the canopy 100% I would stay away fro the ones that tend not to stretch much in flower.

IMO you need more veg light to grow big plants. My suggestion is to set your room up and run it with no plants in there to test and see of you can control temps with no issues. Would suck to set it all up get plants in and find out its too hot.
